Have an extra cross bow if using primative, bring extra tranq darts, or arrows. And bring someone to help it will make it much easier. Once you start to tranq out do not stay close to water, once rex is nearly knocked out it'll try and run from you if your close to the water it'll go there where it'll be nearly imposible to tame. Most importantly have fun, be kind to others!

Use a tranq arrows or scropion

A 150 on the island is most likely around the far north east of the island, a island called the dead island or at the volcano at the middle. These are probably one of the easiest tyrants you can tame early. A branto needs 4x more kibble then a rex. I assume this is because of the brontos platform saddle. If your looking for kibble for one of these things a good place to start is herbivore island at the south east island wild brontos will produce bronto eggs you only need 17 to tame. make exceptional kibble. You can lure the brontos in the water or if you have any decent 150 herbivores around you can most likely just kill them. There are many ways to tame a 150 but i do think capturing is the best way. You can ride a sabertooth or raptor and train them but theres a chance of death for you or the rex because the areas they inhabit are usually packed with predators that want to eat you. Put three Dino gateways in a square but then there will be a gap. Put a LARGE bear trap in the middle, and have a fourth Dino gateway in your inventory. Lead the Rex into the trap and put the fourth gateway down. Then shoot the Rex with tranq arrows or darts. When it falls down give it food. If it’s torpor gets low then feed it narcotics or narcobarrys! Make sure you use STONE Dino gateways! I hope this helps!

Steps to tame rexy

1. Craft longneck w 10-20 tranq bullets

2. Find one

3. Go on big rock

4. Shoot it

5. Wait till it comes to u

6. Shoot it some more

7. Now it unconscious

8. Feed it 200 raw meat and narcs

9. Possibly bring spino for protection

10. Wait

11. Tamed, now bring both to base

12. Make saddle

13. Put saddle on

14. Have fun

Real girls tame it with cloth clothes, long bow and 47 tranq arrows no trap (I actually did that)

With a couple of large bear traps it's the easiest tame ever

Taming these things are the easiest, I tamed a level 110 Tek Rex with a good mount that I can shot off, a cross bow, and about 40 trank arrows, And when they run away you can easily catch up.

Tip:use 100 tranq darts and feed it 50 meat
