traps suck for rexes as long as you have even ish speed justrun it in circles shooting it keep a wide circle and you'll be fine when it's down just throw some gates around it if you feel unsafe

You can make a ramp trap if you want by making a bunch of ramps and a hole in the middle and trap it like that

I knocked my first one out by punching it until it ran away and then retrieving my tranqs and shooting it.

It was my third tame.

U dont have to use a trap, just get a load of tranq arrows and a crossbow or bow and just make it chase u, shoot, and run while reloading, i got a rex by this!

Get the high ground where it can't get you and throw a boomerang at its head over and ove untill knockout

If you wave first then crouch three times the dinosaur will ask to be your friend, easiest tame I've ever done.

Have an extra cross bow if using primative, bring extra tranq darts, or arrows. And bring someone to help it will make it much easier. Once you start to tranq out do not stay close to water, once rex is nearly knocked out it'll try and run from you if your close to the water it'll go there where it'll be nearly imposible to tame. Most importantly have fun, be kind to others!

Make sure u have all the items you need to knock it out and get picked up by another player and shoot from above ! Otherwise you will get eaten .

For taming it will distracted easily so you can get the Rex stuck and easily knock it out. Prime from stegos or carnos/pacacers for scorched earth.

Get up on something that the Rex can’t climb up like a cliff, mountaintop or a big rock. And pump him full of tranq ammo.

Eventually when his torpor gets low enough he’ll run away from you so you have to chase him down. Just be careful you don’t run into something dangerous.

Once you got him knocked out give him your food of choice and narcotics. And don’t try and protect him. Basically nothing is going to attack a downed Rex. Just watch him from a distance until he is tamed. The only way he’ll get hit is if something tries to attack you and it accidentally hits the rex.

Bring tranqing equipment not a bola and a club then keep tranqing them you don’t need a trap in mobile because they are slow just keep running and shooting then bring lots of meat and 50 narcotics

Traps are very useful but you can out run it with 152% ish movement highly recommend a trap if it’s a high level but if you’re confident you can do it on foot

Steps to tame rexy

1. Craft longneck w 10-20 tranq bullets

2. Find one

3. Go on big rock

4. Shoot it

5. Wait till it comes to u

6. Shoot it some more

7. Now it unconscious

8. Feed it 200 raw meat and narcs

9. Possibly bring spino for protection

10. Wait

11. Tamed, now bring both to base

12. Make saddle

13. Put saddle on

14. Have fun

Real girls tame it with cloth clothes, long bow and 47 tranq arrows no trap (I actually did that)

What I like to do is get a large bear trap put about 30 narcs in the Dino and get prime meat. ps get a fridge from fab to save prime meat for a longer time

1. Trap. Make 5×5 stone foundation trap with walls and ramps outside it.

2. Get crossbow with AT LEAST 20 tranq darts.

3. Find Tyrannosauris

4. When it's in the trap, knock it out.

5.Access its inventory and give it meat.

6. If the torpor goes low, feed it narcotics/narcoberries/Bio toxin.

7. Name it

8. Take it home.

Just find a rex and make him fall in a pit then you have to craft a slingshot and have 1 full stack of stones your rex (kill a alpha raptor first to get a lot of superior meat) (real man take him down whit a big bear trap and punchs

How to tame a rex

Step 1:craft behemoth dinosaur gateways and walls

Step 2: find a trex and lure it

Step 3: trap the trex in the gateway

Step 4: tranq it out and feed it raw or prime meat

Step 5: you have tamed a trex

Taming these things are the easiest, I tamed a level 110 Tek Rex with a good mount that I can shot off, a cross bow, and about 40 trank arrows, And when they run away you can easily catch up.

Tip:use 100 tranq darts and feed it 50 meat
