Use a tranq arrows or scropion

A 150 on the island is most likely around the far north east of the island, a island called the dead island or at the volcano at the middle. These are probably one of the easiest tyrants you can tame early. A branto needs 4x more kibble then a rex. I assume this is because of the brontos platform saddle. If your looking for kibble for one of these things a good place to start is herbivore island at the south east island wild brontos will produce bronto eggs you only need 17 to tame. make exceptional kibble. You can lure the brontos in the water or if you have any decent 150 herbivores around you can most likely just kill them. There are many ways to tame a 150 but i do think capturing is the best way. You can ride a sabertooth or raptor and train them but theres a chance of death for you or the rex because the areas they inhabit are usually packed with predators that want to eat you. I killed a level one female and thought it would be perfect to tame so I went to the red obelisk to revive it I knocked it lit but it fell in the ocean so I took its implant and agin revived it but this time I covered the edges with stone walls and a used 2 large bear traps and it’s almost tamed I’m typing this message while she’s taming so I think I’m gonna call her Rage or something, of she’s done taming! If you don’t mind I’m gonna go kill all my enemies.

These are very easy to tame unless u don’t have at least 500 health and tranq darts so yea u level up ur health to 500 won’t even need a cage

When taming a tek rex: if taming a tek rex it is better to use element.

You can easily tame these guys by standing in a out of reach cliff or rock and use tranc arrow then feed regular meat but it will take an hour if its lvl 15 above

Always stand on higher ground so the Rex cannot get to you - he will just stand there while you headshot it - plus when he is knocked out , you only have to defend 3 sides instead of 4

Don't start taming at 1 am, unless it's a 130+

Make a simple taming raft with a 3x3 stone foundation. Make a 2x3 part at front (so that u can still drive while something in there) ramp up at front of raft and a landing pad on side to park bird. Lure Rex in and then when it's stuck in there go in and drive home. Stay close to shore if possible ( always a chance for something to glitch) but if u don't knock it out less likely for it to fall thru raft. Once home easy tranq and close to base for tame :)

When taming a rex using prime meat do not feed it right away after knocking it unconscious. Instead keep it knocked out using narcotics until it's food decreases enough to eat all the prime meat needed to tame it. Once your rex is hungry quickly gather prime meat as it spoils quickly and bring it to your rex so it can eat all the prime meat before spoiling.

I kill a Rex and here is how I did it. I went up to a high place where the Rex and I first meet and killed it with 17 arrows. That is it and have a good time on ark.

If yyou have god console so you want tame any dino like rex in only in seconds to do 1 knockout dino and 2 level up the knockout dino and see is good was getting low then give him food it is eat faster

Rex saddle is no longer level 60 but instead 74. Great, now its going to take even longer to get a rex.

Recently tamed two Rexes at the same time. Here’s a few tips to make sure if you’re trying to tame these boss killing beasts with best results:

1.Make sure you bring the proper weapons and enough tranq arrows/darts and narcotics to make sure you can successfully subdue your target

2. Given your surroundings are accommodating, find a higher elevation where it, or they in my case, cannot reach you

3.If you don’t have a high enough elevation where they can’t reach you, either build a trap like you would for a Giga, or build a 3x3 stone foundation with stone doorframes stacked three high as well as 9 ramps with enough space to be able to quickly shoot your chosen Rex unconscious (you can find the video to build the trap on YouTube created by MissVadams, it’s titled Rex Taming: Beginners guide)

3.Once you have the proper placement for everything, use a flyer to aggro your chosen Rex and have it chase you to your desired location, then you can light it up with tranqs and knock it out

4. Traps/higher did the job to help capture it? Excellent!!! Now start the taming process by feeding it Exceptional kibble, prime meat, or even raw meat, it should do the job nicely just so long as you watch its torpor, if it gets too low for your comfort, start giving it the narcotics.

5. Congratulations, now you have an absolute unit for an ally who you will bring along on many adventures! Hope this helps someone along the way on their adventure through the vast Ark
