Get up on something that the Rex can’t climb up like a cliff, mountaintop or a big rock. And pump him full of tranq ammo.

Eventually when his torpor gets low enough he’ll run away from you so you have to chase him down. Just be careful you don’t run into something dangerous.

Once you got him knocked out give him your food of choice and narcotics. And don’t try and protect him. Basically nothing is going to attack a downed Rex. Just watch him from a distance until he is tamed. The only way he’ll get hit is if something tries to attack you and it accidentally hits the rex.

Bring tranqing equipment not a bola and a club then keep tranqing them you don’t need a trap in mobile because they are slow just keep running and shooting then bring lots of meat and 50 narcotics

Traps are very useful but you can out run it with 152% ish movement highly recommend a trap if it’s a high level but if you’re confident you can do it on foot

Just find a rex and make him fall in a pit then you have to craft a slingshot and have 1 full stack of stones your rex (kill a alpha raptor first to get a lot of superior meat) (real man take him down whit a big bear trap and punchs

How to tame a rex

Step 1:craft behemoth dinosaur gateways and walls

Step 2: find a trex and lure it

Step 3: trap the trex in the gateway

Step 4: tranq it out and feed it raw or prime meat

Step 5: you have tamed a trex

So I just knocked a Rex out and I am taking him right now but I suggest getting on a fast raptor or something fast to run away from it and every now and then just look back and tranq it. That is a good way but I was just standing on a big rock, although it is hard to find a good rock and my backup plan was to mount my argy and fly far enough to where I could get a few shots on him before I had to retreat again because this one was slow. traps suck for rexes as long as you have even ish speed justrun it in circles shooting it keep a wide circle and you'll be fine when it's down just throw some gates around it if you feel unsafe

You can make a ramp trap if you want by making a bunch of ramps and a hole in the middle and trap it like that

I knocked my first one out by punching it until it ran away and then retrieving my tranqs and shooting it.

It was my third tame.

U dont have to use a trap, just get a load of tranq arrows and a crossbow or bow and just make it chase u, shoot, and run while reloading, i got a rex by this!

Get the high ground where it can't get you and throw a boomerang at its head over and ove untill knockout

these guys want you to use traps. dude just shoot it with tranq arrows run a bit shoot it some more run... easy rex tame

I tamed a wild Male lvl 26 TEK Rex, It's so cool omg!

Have an extra cross bow if using primative, bring extra tranq darts, or arrows. And bring someone to help it will make it much easier. Once you start to tranq out do not stay close to water, once rex is nearly knocked out it'll try and run from you if your close to the water it'll go there where it'll be nearly imposible to tame. Most importantly have fun, be kind to others!

For taming it will distracted easily so you can get the Rex stuck and easily knock it out. Prime from stegos or carnos/pacacers for scorched earth.

Use a tranq arrows or scropion

A 150 on the island is most likely around the far north east of the island, a island called the dead island or at the volcano at the middle. These are probably one of the easiest tyrants you can tame early. A branto needs 4x more kibble then a rex. I assume this is because of the brontos platform saddle. If your looking for kibble for one of these things a good place to start is herbivore island at the south east island wild brontos will produce bronto eggs you only need 17 to tame. make exceptional kibble. You can lure the brontos in the water or if you have any decent 150 herbivores around you can most likely just kill them. There are many ways to tame a 150 but i do think capturing is the best way. You can ride a sabertooth or raptor and train them but theres a chance of death for you or the rex because the areas they inhabit are usually packed with predators that want to eat you.
