Quick tip cuz I learned this:

It really isn’t that hard to tame one depending on its level (for this example this is gonna be a low level one). For the bare minimum, you’ll need tranq arrows, some kind of bow, and a lotta meat (if we’re just talking about raw meat maybe like 80 would be good). If you can’t outrun the Rex, have some kind of speedy creature with decent stamina. Again, in this example I’m talking about low levels (1-45 I think). If it’s a higher level, investing in a trap might be better.

If you want to find high level rexes ho to the snow biome, trust me.

Easiest tame ever u need 15 to 50 tranq arrow depending on level and a 700 hp iguadon or gallmis (seriously) with a crossbow run and hit him till knocked out feed it anything u got wait here is ur rex and after u get 2 u have a infinite rex factory ( a spino is better but harder than this to tame in early time)

Here is how I did my one.

1. Go to Carno island.

2. Locate your Rex.

3. Use a raptor to make it Afro on you and run to the small cliff on Carno island.

4. Make sure you are at the top of the cliff and your Rex is at the bottom and shoot at the Rex

5. If the Rex somehow manages to get up the cliff. Just get on a raptor and run of the cliff(don’t worry, it’s not high enough to take too much damage). Run around the cliff fast enough so that when you get to the top the Rex is still at the bottom.

6. Repeat until knocked out.

P.S. there are better ways to do this like using a trap but this is how I did mine so this is kind of a cheap way of doing it.

How to tame a rex:

1. First, you need to bring 4 stone dinosaur gates. And a large bear trap.

2. Place 3 of the gates (in this shape \_/) and the large bear trap inside them.

3. After you've found a rex, lure it and get it stuck in the trap.

4. After the rex is stuck in the trap, quickly place the fourth gate to prevent the rex from escaping.

5. Now knock the rex out with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

6. After the rex is knocked out, feed it meat or preferred kibbles.

There easy tames no traps needed just use a tranqs and crossbow rifle optional

It takes about 77 slingshot hits to knock out a lvl 1

Me and my big brother tried to tome it with 50 tranq arrow and crossbow and it ran out and I don't know how we tame him after it with sling shot and patience

I was 7 and my brother was 10 so don't think we were idiot "we were idiot tbh"

In my 4yrs of ark experience I use eqqus to tame these. You can pump health and some melee but not too much or you can possibly kill the rex. You can just follow them around and kick them to sleep. Super easy.

Pretty easy to tame as long as you are prepared. Always bring extra tranqs and narcotics to be on the safe side just because it takes a lot to bring them down. Upgraded rifles and crossbows are a godsend and make it even easier too. Get a Pteranodon or Argentavis, find a cliff/high ground where the Rex can’t get you and make it rain with darts and arrows. And when they start to flee once their torpor increases, run it down and don’t let up. I don’t make/use traps but this tactic works well for me. The giant murder lizard will be yours soon enough! Just go to a cliff so it can’t reach you and shoot it from there

If you fly to where the beach touches the snow biome on the west coast of the island there's a huge rock you can tame them easily from. Nothing naturally attacks them when they're KO'd so you can just leave it there

Now let me tell you about the time I used a sharpened clam shell to turn a T-Rex into a T-Rachel

How to tame a T-Rex for dummies:

1. Find a mountain or forest biome, Rexes usually spawn in these biomes.

2. Head back to base and craft up a ton of narcotics, I usually go with about 400, but I always over-prepare. Also, make sure you have at least 80 tranq arrows, or you might not knock it out.

3. Find a high rock with a flying dino, an argy is perfect, and do NOT underestimate how far up it can hit you.

4. Hit the Rex with your argy and guide it back to the high rock mentioned earlier while it’s aggro’d, hit the T-Rex repeatedly, and go for headshots.

5. The Rex will wander away from time to time during the process, make sure to hop back on your argy and remind him who’s boss. (Aggro him again)

6. After it’s Torpor is high enough, it will eventually flee, don’t get too close to it, but follow with it with your argy, landing and firing tranq arrows occasionally.

7. It will eventually knock out, and you will NOT want to put any food in its inventory yet. Instead, put it on a tracker and monitor its Torpor from time to time. Now would also be a good time to go and round up some prime meat, which is an excellent, easy-to-get food for the Rex.

8. Return to the Rex with your prime meat, (a little extra never hurts) and feed it some Narcotics, to raise its Torpor again. By now, it’s hunger should have dipped a considerable amount, and now you can put the prime meat into its inventory.

9. Protect your T-Rex while it eats up, some creatures will attack it while it is KO’d.

10. Enjoy your T-Rex! (And make sure they have LOADS of food in their inventory at all times)

I am a noob,level 24, and I knocked one of these bad bois out without a trap or anything.

Explination: I grabbed thirty tranq arrows,thirty-six narcs and went over to a cliff and started shooting it took only 13 of the arrows because #1 im on mobile, and #2 because it was low level.

How to tame any knockout creature in ark

First trap the creature then place a bed or sleeping bag sleep and wake up start to tranq the dino then put the food in its inventory it’s ok if you don’t have kibble use prime meat if it’s a carnivore use mejoberries if it’s a herbivore and look at the taming going to 100% under 5 minutes

He can take up to 90 tranq arrow and 56 toxicant arrows make sure to but in trap so he can't run he can be found in icey or mountain spot good luck on catching him

For me personally I took a ascendant crossbow and it took me 6 shots to knock out a level 60 and sooner or later he will be a happy boi
