Just get spino, Or sarco, rexes good for battle but not much else. Sarco good at fishing and hunting and spino fish hunt and protection.

I remember the first time I tamed one was on scorched earth all I had was some boomerangs and I got three just by throwing it running and repeating.

I have 6 tamed rexes and I’m only level 60, they aren’t hard to tame

Super easy strategy for knocking it out 2x2 stone foundation then stone doorways (without doors) all around 2 high then wooden ramps leading up the front 2 wide lead it up ramps and into trap then knock it out and tame it enjoy your Rex

Also if you can’t get it up the ramp then hide in the trap and it can’t get you then tranq it out that way

If you are a noob don't be fooled by the rex, a low level rex is pretty easy to tame all you need is a pteranodon/flying mount then find a tall rock or hill where the rex can't reach you and just shoot it with tranq arrows. You will only need like 13 the only reason I don't have one yet is cause the first one I knocked out drowned

You don't need make gate or complicated trap for high level. Just make 2-3 large bear trap and put it straight like OOO like this and make sure the trap is between you rex like this (rex)the trap(you). Low level only need 11+ tranq arrow and 3+ scorpion kibble and do not need any narcotic if you use kibble but you can bring it for unexpected thing or not enough kibble. This trap also work on low level spino or other dino. But alway remeber that it only work on low level dino and you can make 4 large bear trap.

Stay high up and knock it out then make sure to have plenty narcotics put in creatures inventory and don’t put any meat in inventory access states at check hunger wait until it’s hunger is low while feeding it narcotic when hunger is low put any meat kind at it will start to tame fast.

If a Rex is near some sort of cliff bait it to the bottom of cliff and shoot in the head with tranqs arrows

Taming is the same for tek rex about 20 to 30 tranq darts

If u want to find rex find in snow and always tame a higher level rex

About 100 tranq arrows on primitive crossbow for a 150 rex

When taming a Rex, hold ston gate ways ( small or behemoth ) and encase it in a trap. Then tranq and feed ( use a snow owl to freeze it in place to trap it more easily )

Trapping a rex will make it easier to tame. Best to knock out with tranq darts. Best to feed them mutton or exceptional kibble. Have some meat prepared.

So everyone is saying to build traps and go on birds but if your lower level looking for a very low level one to tame 0 narcos needed and if it’s low level you could just go on a big rock or ledge and shoot it with tranqs that’s what I did with my rexs

Taming these Bad Boys are easy for Low Level Players!

Step1: Find One (Obvious).

Step2: Get a bunch of Tranq Darts Ready! (You can Unlock them at Level 21.)

Step3: Stand afar and let the T-Rex fight some random Dino Like a Triceratops.

Step4: Start shooting Tranq Once he Kills and Harvests Their Meat

Step5: Once it goes down, Put some Meat after some time and you can Keep Feeding Narcoberries and Berries(Any) by Feeding them both 1 by 1.

Step6: Now put some Meat in Whenever you think it is Hungry enough.

Step7: Waiting game begins.

Step8: Enjoy The Little Beast.
