Heard ya wanted to be safe well 3 stone gates the normal ones place them in a tight triangle for easier shots get about 50 or more trank arrows and some darts if it's a decent level or be a real man for ones and show your domination by shooting it with trank arrows some stone only to run out of ammo and beat it to unconscious

yes they are strong but slower than a human with upgraded speed at least 155-160(mine is 174%) i just ran back and shoot tranqs and then ran and shoot again.It was near the artic,i was chased by a couple of raptors and sabertooths and one level 70 white rex,i didnt even falter cause i know i could outrun them.So yeah just do the normal tricks if u have enough speed

Hav as many traps set up as u can, a few hundred tranq arrows and a decent cross bow. I can tame a good 5 lvl 130+ rexes a day, honestly rexes are soo easy once uve dun it once. O but don’t even bother doin it without mutton or kibble cause it will take forever and come out crap

Terrible turning circle just get on a cliff and bring a bunch of arrows/darts

If you're having a taming pen made out of stone (or else) on a WOODEN raft, don't use it for a rex.

It's great for a LOT of dinos, but a high level rex will destroy your raft to dust (and all structures attached to it, no matter what they are made of) before you knock him out.

Tutorial on how to tame a Rex without trap:

1.find it

2.make it follow you and jump to the high ground

3.make sure the Rex won't be able to walk up to that high ground

4.shoot it with a lot of tranq arrows (crossbow recommended)

5.it gets unconscious and you can buy a minor soothing balm in consumables of amber shop which costs 10 ambers

6.feed it raw or raw prime meat or raw meat (you don't need to use any narcotics if you used the minor soothing balm or feeding it raw prime meat without any soothing balm)

7.congrats,you tamed a Rex.

Get on a cliff that the rex can’t reach and tranq the s#&* out of it.

If you trying to tame it like a real man you walk up to it hit it with a club and then lead it off a cliff then you use your crossbow.

You can use metal billboards and a bear trap.

First built a structure of rock walls and climate it with the help of stairs and break stairs from downward rex can't climb and hit it with crossbow or gun to knock it out.

Second use spike trap to cover it so one dino will able to attack it then use narcotics over 64 to make it more unconscious over night till it's hunguer is 59 percent and use meat to tame it

I find that the best way to knock these out is to get a quetzal and stand on the platform while in the air. It has basically no sway so aiming will be easy plus you can bring along a ballista to keep it still with the chain bola. Be sure to bring some cooked prime meat :)

An easy way to knock one out with a friend.

Take your flyer and carry your friend, fly high enough so that the Rex can’t reach you or your friend, but also so that they can shoot at the Rex. Get your friend to shoot at them with whatever tranq, I did it with about 8 tranq arrows and a normal bow but you might need more.

If you’re playing solo though I suggest leading the Rex under a rock ledge, land on the ledge and shoot at it till it gets knocked. Or you could just run at it and try to knock it fast but I’d rather play it the safe way.

Find a cliff that it can’t climb, get the high ground and shoot it with tranqs.

these guys are scary early game, but i can tell you right now these guys arent hard to tame.

i literally just tamed a level 14 by flying up to a big rock and shooting her with arrows, passed out in no time. i have to wait another like 13 levels until i can ride her though

They are so easy to tame because they are idiots so just stand on a cliff and knock ‘em out for they won’t move or try get to you

So uh, i attempted to tame one, it went down okay, it had 102hp left, i fed it some narcotics, as i was gathering narco berries when a random theri spawned on my boat right next to the downed Rex and chunky (my sarco) so of course it attacked my sarco and killing the Rex in crossfire, and yeah I killed that theri with my bare hands for it. So please when you go to tame one of these, stay close and watch out for theri’s.
