The easiest way to kill these buds is to go up onto a mountain (a high one..) with a flying mount, or, find how to get up the mountain. Get out your gun, and start shooting. Takes 3 to 4 hits to kill. If your low leveled and see this... RUN or if u don’t have a gun, RUN

Place down 3 stone gateways and a large beartrap in the middle. Let the Rex walk in there and then place a forth gateway behind the Rex.

Knockout A Rex

Then your Rex was killed by a dilophosaur

Step 1:Get Prime Meat

Step 2:Get A High Ground

Step 3:Shoot With Dart

Step 4:Give it Prime Meat/Kibble When It's unconscious

Step 5:Done.

Once knocked out, you can honestly get away without taming spikes if it's just a good Rex. Nothing naturally attacks them in the wild if it's not fully tamed. You don't need to waste material and sit next to the rex if you're kibble taming it for 3 hours. Just knock it, fly back 10 mins before torpor time and make yourself productive. Unless you're on a busy server with a lot of traffic

How to tame a rex:

1. First, you need to bring 4 stone dinosaur gates. And a large bear trap.

2. Place 3 of the gates (in this shape \_/) and the large bear trap inside them.

3. After you've found a rex, lure it and get it stuck in the trap.

4. After the rex is stuck in the trap, quickly place the fourth gate to prevent the rex from escaping.

5. Now knock the rex out with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

6. After the rex is knocked out, feed it meat or preferred kibbles.

Look for CaptainFatdog on YouTube, he makes super cheap traps that are accessible way earlier than all these overpriced versions. You can tame pretty much anything as soon as you get access to stone, aswell as rexes! His rex trap is literally 14 pillars, its cheap and easy to put up 👍

I use 3 Metal buildbords in a squarish shape then I place a large bear trap at the furthest point. Then when he’s trapped I place the last build bord. EASY

Use large bear traps or stone windows have is trapped and then knock it out.

In 2018 it still works the same as in 2015. Stand on a rock, and shoot it. Then, just breed the tamed ones.

It took a full two ark days for this guy to tame 😩

rex chasing you off a cliff with rocks two walls high respawn on bed close by and tranq make sure that the rex is stuck

You don’t really need a trap just get on a cliff

When taming a Rex you can by lvl 21 to tame it

A boat, 72 tranq arrow, official setting on the island. 👍

Get a friend to drive a boat and you do not jump and then run the boat along the shore and keep hitting it while it runs

For those who are breeding. You will need, everything. Basic to extraodinary kibble, all the berries (except narco and stim). And every cooked meat, this includes jerkies.

Guys just use a chain bola and use tranq darts

If you have enough metal;

Craft 4 metal billboards and one big bear trap.

Place down 3 of the billboards like this I_I and place the trap in the middle. Lure the rex into it, very easy and best to do on feet and then if he gets trapped, place the last billboard to close the cage.

Now you can take your time, knock it out or let it stay in there.

If the rex, somehow, gets nearly dead, I believe you can try to give it some corpses to eat and its HP will go up. :)
