Use 4 (metal) dino gates and a large bear trap. Put 3 down in a square but leave one side open. Lure the giga in then after he is stuck place the last metal dino gate behind the giga, then blast it with tranq arrows or darts.

If you have a mobile taming pen for large Dino’s such as Rex, Spino, or Therizinosaurus. Have a 2x3 space for the Dino and a 3x3 space for you to stop the Dino from hitting you and 1-5 shot you. Trust me. It’s happened to me by a lvl 150 Therizinosaurus. That thing one shot me.

Since rexes are fairly slow when they're wild, try my method: Use a pteranodon or something that flies fast, make him aggro on you, fly away, jump off, shoot in face, jump on yer bird again, fly away,repeat..

Stand on a rock, just ok'd a lvl 55 with 1 boomerang and some patients.

Build a 3x3 stone foundation on a raft, replace the foundation where you sit to control the raft with a stone hatchframe and hatch. Put stone walls 3x3 tall on the back of the raft, using 2 stone window frames and a stone doorframe/door on the bottom most lair. Put 2 stone fence foundations on each end of the walls, moving toward the front of the raft. Place a stone dino gateway and gate on each of those fence foundations. Place a wall 3 stone walls tall next to the dino gates, with stone window frames as the bottom layer. Place a wall 2 stone walls tall across the front of the raft. Place a row of 3 wooden ramps on the outside of the raft, starting at the top layer of walls on the front of the raft, down towards the water. Finally, place one layer of stone ceilings around the raft to the front, just before touching the ramps themselves. Now you can lure a Rex in there over the ramps, and escape on foot through the back door, or use a bird to lure it and land after it is caught.

There is a blind spot near the tail of the Rex where it's turning raidus won't allow it to hit you, and you circle the Rex and stay in the blind spot it will go down. Good luck!

Depending on where you're downing the Rex in question and what you have at your disposal, a fairly tall stone outpost tower or on the back of a quetzal have worked wonders for me. However, depending on your landscape and resources luring it towards a cliff to where it can't reach you is the best option if all you have on you is literally the tranqs, narcs, and maybe food depending on if you're meat or kibble taming. Just remember to be aware of your surroundings for any tame that starts a conforntAri

150 Rex with kibble is really good you can get its health up to 15k

Find a spot with many large rocks, kite it over to said area, have one of you riding a flying mount, your friend will pick you up and you will do the shooting using a crossbow with tranq arrows when it starts to run This is when the rocks you kited it to is useful. after getting it to low health it will run just herd it into a corner then KO it. easy

Make 2 stone dinosaur gates and 20 stone walls and make a pen with dino gates on each end and and fence foundations as markers of ur pen size and put 2 walls next to the dino gates and 2 high and 4 on the left and right 2 high

Try getting a friend to fly a quetz or smaller bird while you shoot rex in the head, if it heads towards water fly to it and guide it to land and rinse and repeat.

Kite it into rocks on foot and shoot it in the face with tranqs

Build a taminging raft 3x2 and 2 walls high put Ramps at one end and lead the Rex onto and into the trap with a bird then drive back to base and KO

The easiest method ive found to tame a rex is to lure it into a taming pen made of stone dino gates. Lure with a flier or on foot by closing the gate furthest from the gate you entered from. Then close the gate behind the rex. ( yes rexs can walk through dino gates! So doors are nessisary) then shoot from a safe place till knocked out. Always bring extra tranqs with you and delay shots with tranq arrows to prevent killing the rex by accident. If useing a flier, argies have always worked best for me. Their extra health and slow pace keeps the rex on you as they quickly lose interest and go for whatever else is nearby. The starve method is the safest to prevent spoilage of whatever food source you use.

Good strategy if you're low enough to only have tranq arrows is to find a cliff high enough that you can shoot the rex without it being able to attack you.

That way any level is able to tranq it to tame it.
