My tribe of 3 people just knocked out a level 145 with just boomerangs... Took about an hour. The only strategy you need is to run around.

Trex is like my favorite dino in ark like it is so OP that I always go on long adventures tut o find them first time I found one I was happy

Since every body is wondering how many tranq darts it take to knock out this thing it took about 30-50 but that was a level 290 and I used a jorneyman longneck.

It isnt that hard to tame, just get on a cliff edge and shoot a few arrows and its down. (btw it is not good at walking around trees)

This is just an idea but, Dododex PLEASE add tek dinosaurs to the list. Of course tek Rex's also, they don't have the same stats as normal dinosaurs.

Use a cliff and rain crossbow or bow arrows on it btw if ur speed is higher than 150% u can escape

This isn’t really a tip but about how many narco darts would it take to knock a 13-16 level Rex?Just wondering cause I found one near my base.

Okay, so the way I tame things is in the wide open, I went up a but north but not in the dangerous area and I was able to get a lot of Rex's, but you want to make sure the area is cleared. If there is another rex, either check its level and tame it or kill it.

I havent tamed one yet but ive tried and they lose agro fast

So, in the story of Atalanta's death you will see we tamed our first rex. This is how we did it.

Just find the rex. Don't engage just see where it is and locate any near predators. The make lots of tranque arrows and narcotics(narcoberries will do fine.). Make a crossbow. Then go and fight the rex. Wait for it to attack a big herbavore like a trike. Wouldn't suggest a parasaur because if you hit it it will run. We had it fight a steggo. Stand and shoot it in the butt and hope it won't see you. It shouldn't run too fast but it will disapear in trees. Once it's down watch its torpor. Once tamed, enjoy!

I just tamed one in single player and it's easy

Just build a stone trap "4 foundation and 16 doorway frame with 4 wood ramp" then bring the rex in it and shoot tranq arrows then put narcotics inside it's inventory with raw meat. Just make sure to feed it narcotics time by time. Boom there you have a rex. I saw it in Glock9 video

I would have movement speed and stamina high up than usual and get a crossbow and keep and wait five seconds between each shot then keep on shooting until it passes out I would recommend primate it it’s a little bit faster but it’s OK if use normal meat

On ARK FIBER CRAFT UNIFFITOL PVE XBOX ONE we hatched a baby Rex an OP rex

Whoever said a baby Rex at 6% with 1 stack of meatl will last until juvenile is right I did this and my Rex didnt even eat it all I do recommend putting out a few troughs just to make sure it has food for when its juvenile

These are so op I tamed a Tek Rex in single player... he is now lvl.350 got 30k live over 1000% melee damage he is like a giga I gave him the name: Omega Rex BTW he is easy to Tame just get him to a high cliff but be carefull

A lvl 150 spino takes about 60 tranqs, but a lvl 150 rex takes almost 100 tranqs. Get a spino, they’re better

For ppl that say you dont need trap, movement speed is a waste of level points because you’ll have a mount anyways so upgrade health and wait, use extra points for melee, movement, oxygen, after you have 800 weight and 1k health. Trust me i made the mistake

Its more fun to fight than runaway

Get a skiff and pick up the rex when u do that fly around for a bit so I can calm down a little then get of and start shooting after that cryopod and boom u got ur self a rex

Anyone know where one can find the alpha Rex for the trophy room pursuit?

My experience with trying to knock out a level 156 Rex.

I went to Carnivore island (The little island on the top right of the island map) along with 1 tribe mate. All we needed to do was run around-sometimes dodging around rocks and shooting. We had 150% speed with Journeyman xbows and we went through no more than 20 tranq arrows. Just run around turn and shoot. Make sure you keep some distance before shooting so you don’t allow time for the Rex to get you. I hope this helps! - doubah.
