Tips & Strategies

What are tips for rex? Tips and strategies for rex in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you don’t have a lot of materials try to get high ground on mountain while it’s lower down and use tranq arrows or darts doesn’t matter this makes taming easier I use this method a lot and I have spino and rex and I’m only level 36
Easy Rex taming or taming any Dino
Just lead it to a cliff stand on cliff shoot Dino in face (btw with tranqs)
Put in kibble soothing balm berries meat or whatever it tamed with then Yay!!! Enjoy your tame
Hope this helped

On scorched earth they spawn basically around 75,75. Syntac has a trick that if you are looking for high level rexes just kill the low levels in the area, go out of render distance and then come back and there should be another Rex in the place. Hope this helps.
If you are on the Island, go to the mountain near metal mountain and you will find T-rex and Argis and plenty of them
Try and get up high bu using a cliff or someone else's fort. Hunting with a flying pet will help get you up high and helps with searching. Carry the kibble, meat and narcotics so your ready to go, if your short just farm these while there.
Rexes.. Everyones fear in random jurrasic world movies. Well in ark its less scary since its slow a big dum dum for heighs and most of all just roars at u trying to scare u but it only scares ur argy for my tips i will help you tame one of these late game or mid game (idk) dino
1 Make a Trap (yeah i know u might have problems with wood and stone so get a casteroides and doedericus)
2 Still dont have a doedericus and casteroides? Well use a cliff and load loads of tranq arrows (extra is great and very effective incase u dont have) get ur argy and dont let it roar at ur argy otherwise u will fall to death
3. Shoot its head!
4. Scream when its knocked out
5. DO NOT TAME ONE IN THE REDWOODS IT DIES FROM EVERYTHING THERE in the redwoods theres raptors, T Birds, Titanoboas (sometimes cuz the redwoods is near a swamp.)
6. Feed it prime meat or pulomoscorpious kibble
7. Balabing balaboom get ur new rex bff that will soon die of any other giga
Just make it stuck on a cliff and stay there doing anything like punching lol
For taming Rex just use kibble
I got a rex in a funny way, I was taming a therizino with a trap, when the therizino fainted a rex appeared, and he caught the trap that wasn't for him, I managed to knock him down, but I had to get a lot of meat, and in this process I died 5 times because there were allosaurs around, and I was trying to defend him when he acrobated I took him to my base and left him in aggressive mode to protect the base, because many carnivorous and aggressive dinos came in, resulting in the loss of several, but he protected his base well, before leaving..
Big head but smol brain, it is an easy tame.
Don't be afraid of this bad boys just let it aggro on some tanky herbivore and get some distance ofc, then start pumping it with torpor dmg.
i literally tamed 135 level rex with 100+ tranq arrows and i dont even have the saddle for it
If you see one run! Can you kill you!!!!!!
you need like a thousand tranquilizer darts to take 1 T-Rex out
Honestly i tamed a lvl 130 with ease with my friend. They are slow so we ran with 130%+ movment speed and ran diffrent ways, it will go chase one person and the other shoots it with tranq darts
Get train darts
Ok I used this website and it gave me a whole bunch of info would recommend https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
Rexes are like Carnos on steroids. At 100% melee damage they do 60 damage so at 500 they already can do 300 a bite, in addition to this they can easily go upwards of 20 - 30k hp or higher and can carry quite a lot, they aren’t slow by any means but their one downside is their somewhat poor stamina
there is no reason to waste materials in making a trap just ride around on like a saber or a raptor or your feet with good armor its much more fun
No one is saying this but on mobile in the snow area there’s lots of Rex’s and they’re usually alone around height rocks and cliffs. I’m about to take one I’ll come back to let you know if it was successful. Up for mobile players to see.
It was very hard to tame 265 level Rex
