Using a flyer with the capability to carry a player, one can suspend a tribemate over the rex to tranq it.

The best way to knock one out is to have a friend carrying you on your argi so you can shoot it it the face with some tranquilizer arrows

All of the trapping stuff and all that is bs js gotta be fast enough and have enough tranqs unless your trying to keep him from running into water or something

To tame a Rex you need a cross bow and arrows tang and the shoot it and knock it out then feed it prime meat or just meat then wait until it tame percent it then you have a Rex good job 😎

How to tame a Rex easily:

S1: Find a Rex.

S2: Options:-

1 Clear out the area if you think anything could trouble you while taming it.

2 Build atleast 15-20 fence foundations and stone walls of atleast 3 walls high, and finally finish it with ramps, then lure the Rex into the trap and knock it out.

3 You can outrun by putting some points in speed and knock it that way if you want.

4 Build up 12 pillars high with a ladder and knock it out that way.

S3: You can knock it out with either tranquilizer darts and a long rifle or tranq arrows and a crossbow.

S4: Feed it Pulmonoscorpious Kibble(Old ARK Mobile only), Exceptional Kibble, Raw prime meat, Raw mutton or Raw meat.

S5: You have an Rex :D

Facts:-

F1: It's saddle unlocks on lvl 74

F2: It also has a tek saddle which can be very useful because of the gun type structure on its saddle.

F3: They also have a Tek variant which gives different resources when killed and is tameable.

F4: They also have an untameable version in Extinction which is the Corrupted Rex.

F5: They can be mainly used for boss fight cause they are most used for that.

F6: It's roar can scare out small creatures but large creatures are unaffected.

You don’t even need a trap ,get a good sarco and start riding on it while on it start knocking out the Rex

Building a trap using stone pillars 14 to be exact it's very good

Get some 3-4 scorpions ( easily found in south zone 3). Pump every level into melee and health( mostly health). Now find a good level rex( commonly found in south zomes 2 and 3). Attack it but you have to be careful about it running away as scorpions are kind of slow. When it's knocked out feed it prime meat.

Best way to tame is 4 dino gates and 1 large bear trap easy simple. Put 3 down is a square not connecting so wide enough for him to into but not escape through cracks, then place large bear trap in middle. Slap the rex on his booty until he chases you like it's dead by daylight run through trap he gets stuck in trap while he's in bear trap run around place gate in back and shoot till hearts content. Places your food inside narco as needed and wait. Then get him a girlfriend breed get mutation get purple color name barney life happy.

(Note: tip for valguero only) Ones you are ready to tame go on top of one of those cliff pillar thing and tranq then feed and wait

No need to complete a degree, have a job, wife, children and gta vi release by sleeping after trapping it down and then knocking it off will make its hunger 0 so just feed it and it will tamed under a minute.

Also this tricks works on any creature. I don’t know why this trick isn’t popular

If you are taming a Rex look for level 50+ because under that is not the best.

First time i tamed a rex, i used a flier. Other times, i sat on a ledge… but what if you dont have those?

Well heres a good way. I just did it.

What you want-

A land mount faster than the rex that can take a few hits,

a location full of herbivores,

A huge amount of tranq arrows (200 or more. I used around 100 for a level 60, but i kept missing, and youll probably go for a higher level)

and the bow or crossbow.

Now all you do is start shooting at the rex. If it chases after you… run away, lead it to a herbivore.

Keep shooting at it while it attacks the herbivore.

Repeat, repeat, blah blah blah.

Whats even better is if it kills a trike or bronto, you can steal the prime meat from the bodies and feed it to the rex later.

Sure it takes some energy and effort, but you dont need any setup asides from arrows and a mount (you probably have a raptor)

Im naming my new rex “silly goose” because the goober didnt realize he was being shot at every 5 seconds.

use 6x stone dino gates 2x foundation 4x walls and 4x ramp, you can catch more than one if you make into a circle and use the 2 foundations as base for walls and ramp. knock 2 out raise 2 up same time i do this for male/female starters and just find wild baby dinos for prime easy tames.

How to Tame a Rex and tips on a rex.

I recommend for taming a Rex to go to the arctic with a raft with an extended platform on top. The higher level Rex are found in the arctic. The arctic is recommended for higher levels and easy raft access but you can find one anywhere. Tranq darts are recommended for knocking it out but tranq arrows work just fine. You can use any meat with a soothing balm but if you don’t have any soothing balm you should put a preserving bin on your raft and fill it with prime meat. Nothing will attack the Rex while it’s knocked out but they will attack you. Make sure you are standing in a warm protected area while taming your Rex. You will only need between 10 to 50 narcotics depending on the level. Once it is tamed have it follow you or ride it on to your raft (or you can just walk it back but the raft option is safer). Ride back to your base and the Rex saddle is not too expensive to make but you can’t unlock it early even though the Rex is easy to tame. Make sure to upgrade its speed and health stats for best performance on your rex. They are good to breed for boss battles and good for farming levels for your tames with their babies. I don’t kill any of the babies but some people do. They are good for farming prime meat but get knocked out by snakes and scorpions more easy than other big carnivores. Rexes are also good at farming chitin and keratin for saddles and armor. Best resources are found from brontos, paracers, diplos, trikes, and stegosaurs.
