So heres my tip for noobs that want a rex

1st. 30 tranq arrows

2nd. A crossbow

3nd. A high cliff that the rex cant get to

Now after u find a really high ciff that u can still shoot the rex but the rex cant get you

Shoot it

Then feed it raw prime meat

I prefer using a theri to getting meat cuz its ez to make things extinct in hervivore island

Boom u now have a evovled murder ostritch

These look oh so hard to knock out I knocked out 2 in a row, I had alot of points put into speed though don't get the wrong message

How to tame this without kibble:fish to get prim fish meat them feed it soothing balm and raw prime fish meat it will be tamed

A Rex would be a really easy as long as you have a enhanced bow apprentice or up you could run while time to time shooting I m telling this to you because it worked for me at lvl 40 no prob Rex lvl 75 (same thing for taming) try it out (yes I couldn’t ride it big sad)

just ride galimimus and shoot em. and dont let raptors kill it like i did…

If you are Playing with friends, Get out Anything You can think of that is strong enough to tame a T. rex. But however you have to circle cause the T. rex will be distracted and while the people attack it. But I’m order to do that you still need to find a way to get on The T. rex. Then he can’t attack you. Then when you tame it make sure to give it levels to kill all the dinosaurs harder than the meteorite!

In mobile, if you are riding a time it doesn’t attack you, so you can chill with your Therizinosaur, aimlessly fly around with your Argentavis, or go on a killing spree with your Giga.

I have already told you how to tame them but here is one more thing:if you are trying to knock them out with the longneck rifle you’ll need about 200 tranq darts.(But don’t forget the backup darts incase you miss.

To tame these guys I prefer to use traps.You can build one easily if you have the items.You can use stone dinosaur gates an large beartraps to trap them.You can find tutorials on the internet.To knock them out you’ll beed a compound bow,a crossbow or a longneck rifle.(I prefer the longneck because of its not so high level engram)use tranq darts with the rifle,tranq arrows with the bows.

Trapping a Rex is easier to tranq and tame but if you have high ground or something so it can’t reach you that’s better

If you are newbie and have metal armor equipped and lots of health on your character you can pretty much fight a low level rex solo. I punched one low level until he was down with a metal armor and with 300 in health.

I don't know about max levels tho. You could try.

But please, don't go in a fight against two rexes, they're slow, sure, but two or more of them could be somewhat dangerous even if low level.

And if you're a beginner with a low level rex, I wouldn't recommend going by the swamps or the center with a low level rex following you. An alpha raptor can kill your rex in seconds. I had my first rex killed that way. It's frustrating. You can go by the beaches, they're somewhat safe, and most of the dinos that spawn there won't attack your rex. Of course if you have a base in the center or the swamps (masoquist) you don't have a choice, so pray, pray for your rex safety.

Wild hyaenodons will attack an unconscious Rex. Clear them out beforehand. Just had a wild unconscious max level Rex get killed by a pack.

Being at least 8 large bear traps and just shoot the damn thing till it falls

If you are not picky try getting a low level one because i knoched a level 2 in a couple of shots and took only like 5 mins to tame

Rex's are strong they go raaaar

Even early game they're not too hard to tame. Get yourself an Iguanodon and put it on all fours, then it will never run out of stamina. Run back and forth shooting the Rex it will never catch you. Just got one with tranq arrows and a bow, but you could do the same with stone arrows if you wanted to kill it.

I have found that using 4 Metal Billboards works relatively well, adding a bear trap (like giga traps) works even better

If you got a high level Dino you can just tank it and shoot it with a longneck rifle

These things have a tendency to chase you and then forget about you. They have a short attention span. When you actually do manage to get one to chase you lease it towards a large bear trap. It’ll get stuck. When it does, place normal stone Dino gates around it to trap it. Then tranq and feed.

When I tamed a rex I just kited it do not use a trap unless your not as experienced as other people. But you do not need a trap the only thing you need is traqs and a flyer
