I was about to be killed but my spike barriers helped so much they were the wooden ones up if this helped to kill the rex

If u want help to find them you can go past herbivore island then past giga mountain and go to this island just a bit from the beach and there usually are Rex’s scorpions raptors and argentavis there

I dont think its torpor drain rate can be considered as high, i think its more like average

Easiest, cheapest method to knock out any level Rex is simply build 1 stone foundation,3 walls and 2 doorframes(no reinforced doors needed)....place the foundation down and the 3 walls in a U shape on the foundation then in the gap put 1 doorframe and the other doorframe on top....Then run up to the Rex tickle its balls and once u have Agro make a dash for your contraption run through the doorframe....Spin around, go into crouch and start firing tranq darts at it through the door frame( don't worry it won't be able to bite you as the doorframes are 2 walls high) This works on gigas too but go 3 wall high on door frames and use metal instead of stone. Hope this helps fresh spawns :)))

If you find one get in an open area with different dinosaurs also stay a decent ways away from it and while it is feasting on other animals shoot it with tranq darts and a longneck rifle or get a trap

If you don't have anytime for make a stone trap, use wood instead, but you must make it bigger or double it. So the Rex will take a time for destroying your structure. (Don't use thatch because Rex can destroy it in 3 bites!)

Just level up your movement speed past 120% and you can outrun it, running around in circles while your friends blast it with tranq arrows from a higher ground

You don’t need like a rifle to kill these. I just put a wooden spike infront of the Rex and it was dead. Spikes are like percentages of the max health. So the bigger the more damage. And the Rex is pretty big

Remember to bring lots of food when taming

You need a tall frock and a bird to get on top of it and shoot it and when it comes shoot the tail and it’s super easy.

Everyone is saying “Get on a cliff and tranq it” EASY. I found TONS on this mountain but there’s argies and scorpions EVERYWHERE. I personally love the cliff trick but it’s not workin for me. I’m gonna search somewhere else to find one. Also, the traps. I’m not using up all my stuff to knock it out! I tried using gates but they were too small. :( I’m about to go search for one. Wish me luck

Want taming this in early game?. Just use crosbow with tranq arrow, find high cliff, and keep shooting. No trap, no chain bola or etc, just run in case if this guy try to escape from u (u r faster more than them). It takes 12 shoots with 3 miss on me (free aim not only head shoot). Put at least 100 raw meat on its inventory, and also 15 nacrotics just in case this guy wanted to wake up earlier. G L
