Since rexs are the second best land carnivore (behind giga) I would recommend just leveling it for PvP. Like on all my 150 kibble tame rexs I go for 10k health then 500 melee damage and then put the rest of my levels back and forth between health and damage.

PS: A good 2nd-5th gen Rex can and will kill tamed gigas

A really funny thing you can do with alpha t-rexes is to get a rhynio, lure an alpha t rex to the beach, and get it to swim after you in the ocean. If it loses interest and becomes passive, then get close to it and dismount on your rhynio and it should start swimming after you again. Then when it gets too close you can fly some distance away, dismount, and it will start chasing you again. Do this a few dozen times and you can trick the alpha rex into swimming to herbivore island or any other crazy location since alphas can't drown.

You can also leave the alpha rex at sea then fly away from it until it disappears in your render distance and forget about it since it will never despawn, drown, or even move so you can go to it later to kill it.

Bonus tip: if you dismount on your rhynio, your rhynio will automatically start regenerating stamina in the air after 5 seconds.

Don’t be scared of these guys. Just get high ground and bait it with other Dino’s that are around. Ez

Just get on a cliff and cheese it they are very clunky and awkward they won’t be able to get up

Dont be scared of them, get a flyer and make sure to have a high health and stamina, fly at him (make sure its only one or your dunso) and let him take a bite of your flyer once in a while then lead him into a square wall of dino gates with a trap in it. Once he is stuck quickly close up the open gate, laugh at him and shoot him (alot)

How to raise and tame a good Rex

1. Use crossbow with tranq arrows or rifle with tranq darts

2. Find the Rex a tough opponent to defeat

3. While he or she is fighting, open fire on the king or queen

4. Once the Rex is down feed it prime meat alongside with normal meat in case you run out of prime

5. Use narcotics on higher levels bio toxin might be needed.

6. Once the Rex awakens take them hunting for large dinos and bosses too but they have to be extremely high level

7. When leveling up switch between health and dmg upgrades

Step 3.find a rex

Step 4. Find a cliff that the rex can’t climb

Step 5. Lur the rex to the cliff

Step 6.shoot the rex until it is knocked out

Step 7. Feed the rex raw meat/prim meat

Step 8. Enjoy Your rex

1. Get a scorpion, kapro or 600 tranq arrows

2. Only upgrade health on the scorpion!!

3. Attack while riding scorpion or use tranq arrows.

4. Make sure you have meat- prime meat works best!

5. Shove food in it's mouth

6. 👍

No real men knock it out with a club

If you want to tame this massive behemoth it’s pretty slow and you should be able to knock it out from it but if you want to trap it; I recommend one of captain fatdogs videos

All you need is a decent crossbow and some high ground with a good amount of Tranqs

Once I spawned in and there was a black rex right in front of me. It just looked at me and then dicided to kill me. It could not have been more successful.

You need only tranq arrows, a crossbow, a flyer, narcotics, and a type of meat for this method

Look for a Rex on a mountain and get on a level above it. High enough that it can’t get you but low enough that you can see it and shoot it. Then shoot it with tranq arrows until it passes out. Fill its inventory with narcotics and the meats of your choice, feeding narcotics if needed.

And there you go. Your new Rex is tamed

Two things:

First, if you want a good saddle for your Rex, run cave of the strong, which you can do with a cave tamed arthro, good fur and a few med brews and fria curry.

Second, since this is a popular page, I’ll give some free advice:

(For Mobile players only, playing on single player casual mode!!)

Run hunter cave and tame arthro.

Upgrade weight on arthro like a ton.

Run strong cave, and set a thatch foundation with a bed right by where the artifact spawns.

Leave cave.

Tribute strong artifact.

Put a bed and a couple large storage boxes on or near an obelisk. Put all of belongings in storage boxes and fast travel to the bed you put in the strong cave(make sure to save game and relog onto it before you do this) grab artifact and go find a creature to kill you quickly.

Spawn at bed near obelisk.

Tribute artifact of the strong, put loot in storage boxes and repeat until satisfied.

This technique will give you ramshackle to ascendant level giga and Rex saddles, and same level scuba gear, gas masks, and compound bows. Also, since all you need is the level to get an arthro saddle, you can do the strong cave early, and use this technique to get enough gas masks or scuba gear to do the swamp cave(also noted for its difficulty)!

Quick tip cuz I learned this:

It really isn’t that hard to tame one depending on its level (for this example this is gonna be a low level one). For the bare minimum, you’ll need tranq arrows, some kind of bow, and a lotta meat (if we’re just talking about raw meat maybe like 80 would be good). If you can’t outrun the Rex, have some kind of speedy creature with decent stamina. Again, in this example I’m talking about low levels (1-45 I think). If it’s a higher level, investing in a trap might be better.

Fun fact! A male t-rex is called a bull.

To kill:

Step one: get a longneck/crossbow (crossbow takes longer)

Step two: get on a high cliff make sure nothing is around it

Step three: then just shoot it in the head for some reason in mobile it wont see you if youre high enough ive done it my self it works.

I had to knock out a 135 rex out with a slingshot. On day three. I had used my crossbow, two other bows, and all of my tranq arrows. I had absolutely no choice, but to knock him out with a slingshot. It took many stones and tears. But somewhere around 150 stones wasted, I knocked him down fed him, and he was tamed.
