Is it just me or do you guys rage and smash ur keyboard whenever you accidentally leave your level 300 giga on passive and you log on and it has died to a level 1 Rex. RIP ps5 I'm sorry for chopping you with a hatchet. 😞

on scorched at around 75 lon 75 lat only rexes spawn, use this to your advantage

If you have enough metal;

Craft 4 metal billboards and one big bear trap.

Place down 3 of the billboards like this I_I and place the trap in the middle. Lure the rex into it, very easy and best to do on feet and then if he gets trapped, place the last billboard to close the cage.

Now you can take your time, knock it out or let it stay in there.

If the rex, somehow, gets nearly dead, I believe you can try to give it some corpses to eat and its HP will go up. :)

Who else thinks the rex should be bigger. Like in real life the giga was only 3 feet taller or so bigger than the rex but in ark it twice it’s size!! Also in real life the rex could easily kill a giga , much unlike ark. In other words the giga should be the short one and the rex should take its rightful place as king of the ark! Also the giga should be around the same size of the rex and the spino and a tamed rex should be able to kill a wild giga

Rexes Can’t break stone, with this in mind you can actually lure one into a trap, preferably 6 by 6 foundations and 4 walls high with a doorframe foundation if you’re going on foot, which you can easily do because rexes are actually reaaaally slow

Use shock darts for the x-rexes, anything else will take years.

Found a level 395 rex on lost island at the grassland areas below the volcanoes. It was a natural spawn and I was able to tame it successfully (on a single player). Seems to be a glitch- but apparently people have seen levels up to 800.

You don’t need a trap just get to a mountain and shoot it it’s easy I tamed one doing this it’s really easy

One of the best and most efficient ways to tame one is use a large wood signpost or a metal signpost literally one of the best traps I've used get it to by a decent tame that has good health and try to place a bunch of these in front and around it to trap it and back away and it will just sit there and bam rex tamed

Xp hack(they made it possible, so maybe it’s not a hack) for ark mobile revamp.

Go to player resistance, turn it to zero.

Go to player damage and turn it to like one million.

Find an alpha Rex as a level 10.

Become level 70 for punching an alpha Rex out of existence.

Also works well with gigas, carches, and titanos.

When comparing this to a spino, consider your own needs!

A spino is more versatile than a Rex, and the spino has small stam drain. The spino is a great swimmer, and has two stances. Basically, 2 legged stance is good for dps and rotation on-spot. 4 legged, the spino can run faster than the carno or raptor. The spino also has a water buff.

The Rex, in comparison, has almost 2 times the health of a same level spino. It has a poop roar, and has bigger spawns. The Rex is easier to tame and uses fewer narcs. It is great for bosses (not the titans). Spino AI forces it to use 4 leg weak mode, which makes it squishy.

Use the Rex for bosses and armies, and use spino for solo mount and overall

I just knocked out a lvl 145. I used the four stone Dino gate trap method, and it worked well. I recommend bringing two crossbows for that level of Rex. Your first will break after around seventy to eighty shots. A level 145 takes about 100 arrows, but I recommend bringing fifty more, just to be safe. You don’t need narcotics if you can get ahold of prime meat. I’m currently working the crap out of my ptero attacking brontos, paracers, diplos and carnos to get the meat. So far it’s going well. I’m only level forty seven, too, so it’s kind of difficult🤣 but if I can do it, so can everyone else. Good luck, fellow early game Rex tamers!

Got a Rex saddle at level 50 I am mobile player and tamed on Rex from the Griffin mountain easy peasy

Found a alpha Rex with 3 Rex’s and a alpha carno at my base when I logged on. I now have no base left

Easy:

make sure you have a getaway, a couple stacks of meat, and a ton of tranq arrows(or darts)

stand on a real tall rock

shoot it to make it come to you (with rifle or crossbow)

once it’s stuck at the bottom of cliff (or rock) shoot it with TRANQ ARROWS(or darts)

repeat until it goes unconscious

get off and place your meat in inv

wait half an hour and you got the most popular apex predator in the dino kingdom

Baby rex’s are so cute. if your breed them have a lot of campfires and wood or thatch. my Rex wants walk every time for the imprinting thing. Already so big soon she’ll be as big as her mother and father.
