One day, back in 2016, I was living in a thatch hut on the black sands on the island. I heard a noise outside, and I saw a Rex fighting a Bronto. The Bronto died, the Rex victorious. Then it turned to me. It lumbered towards me while I was trying to close the door. The Rex started biting at my hut for around ten seconds, while I was crouched in a corner, waiting for my fate to be sealed. Then, as soon as it started, the Rex saw something else and went after it. I left the encounter unscathed, and my hut was also suffered minor damage.

The Rex, especially above lv 100, with 5k health and 300 melee, is a perfect Alpha killer, and meat gatherer. Our Rexes are constantly encumbered (600 pounds of meat), we do a single meat run per day, then take off the hundreds of spoiled meat, used for narcotics.

Great news and horrible news: great news first ( I got a baby tyrannosaurus!!! And I’m only lvl 53!!!) horrible news…( some of my tames died ) lemme tell you how it happened: me and my tames were caught in a bronto vs rex battle and I didn’t manage to set my tames to passive in time…but when I went back to the battle site after the chaos was over I found a baby rex!!! And then it went like this, imprint, feed, get.

Btw people all my tips are me trying to help all you guys so i would appreciate it if you all could like them so everyone can find them easier it would mean a lot to me and help new and old players getting back into the game so I would recommend given my tip a like to help everyone. Taming one of these is actually pretty easy. All you need to do is find one, get to high ground or you could be on tape or a quetzal platform saddle ( make sure they are on follow). Shoot it in the face, that is most recommended, kill all other dangerous creatures in the areas harvest them and most of them should give you prime. Then feed prime and you have a new Rex! Good luck.!

If you wanna an easy way to bring a rex to trap or below a cliff, tame dodos or any small creatures a pteranodon can pick up. They will follow if your carrying any small creature, I have done it with not only rexs but raptors as well.

I hope this helps you to bring the dino you want to tame into a trap.

Bring these in a cryopod everywhere. My rex has saved my butt hundreds of times!

If you want to kill a Rex the best way to do it is to shotgun shot to the head. Each shot deals 500 damage if shot correctly at the head.

I Tamed one at level 21 I stood on a cliff and it got stuck and I shot it with a bow and tranq arrows it was level 195

you can use grappling hooks to hook onto your flyer in the air, to hang below your flyer but above the ground so you can just shoot it with tranq darts while you are up there. not sure what flyers it works on specifically, but i know it works for the quetzal and pteranodon.

If you see a rex make sure that you are on a cliff and the rex is under you then you shoot it dead with a bow im level 30 and I did it with a regular bow with regular arrows took about 26 more or less so if you see a low lever rex and you have a bow with at least 40 arrows just in case if you need more than I did get on a cliff and start shooting

Youtubers make giant traps that require a ton of prep without a Doedicurus. You can tame one with bear traps in half a second. Also, use bio toxins instead of narcotics.

Every 10 levels equals 1000 torpor, so a 150 will have 15000 torpor

Man I cannot put into words how much I hate rex's. I went to try to take my second diplodocus and right as I was about to take it a red came out of no where killed the Diplo killed my best pachy and left my trike and 19 of 3000 health . The stupid thing almost killed again when it came out of no where while I was trying to get food for my ptereranodon I look behind me in the water and there it was. (I hate jumpscare's.

when u get a rex u recommend 5 things to mass upgrade health, melee, speed, stamina, and if u carry alot of war gear on u like me then weight too

In ragnarok, Viking bay 1 and 2 theres a big skeleton Rexs cant get in to unless they go to the back but once you find a rex go to inside it all the way to the back in the middle and shoot it with slingshots if your low level but if your high level than use tranq darts so you dont waste tranqs since you have a lot of time Depending on your level if your under level 69 than get a rex under level 100 or you'll be there forever but if your over level 69 get a Rex over level 100. On the island theres a cave on carnivore island go inside it and follow the ragnarok rules.In the center use a raptor level up its movement speed and stamina and run while shooting it with tranqs and it will run away or it wont either way chase it or keep shooting and then it will be tamed. There are many other ways to tame rexs but but i found these easier somehow. good luck with the taming!
