Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a reaper? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a reaper.
How to get your very own Reaper King!
First, if you haven't already, you're gonna want to get a Rock Drake. You don't NEED the Rock Drake, but it's heavily recommended.
With your tame, you're going to want to head down to the Radiation zone. Make sure to bring Hazard Suits, a Magnifying glass, A shield, and your Light Pet. (Glowtail, Featherlight, Bulbdog, or Shinehorn.)
Next, you'll want to build a trap, which I heavily recommend looking up a tutorial for. The trap isn't needed, but it makes things a hell of a lot easier.
Once your trap is built (if you're making one), You're gonna wanna find a Reaper Queen. These things can be identified by the strange moving dust clouds in the ground. If you approach one, there will be a queen. Lead that momma back to your trap and turn on your Light Pet, then start dealing damage to it. Make sure to check it every once in a while after blood starts to show, because you'll have to get it below 2,000 HP. Once it's below the 2,000 HP mark, you're gonna turn off your light pet and dismount your tame. You'll know it's ready when its glowing a pink color. Walk up to it and hold up your shield, because it might attack you even if its ready to impregnate. When it kneels down and sniffs you, it will grab you with its tail and pregnate you. Once you have the baby reaper, you're HP will be depleted to 1. (It doesn't matter how much HP you have, it will always be 1.)
After getting the baby, you can either use the queen as a baby farm, or you can kill it for the glands (Which you can use for the boss terminal.)
After leaving the red zone, you're going to want to go and kill lots of dinos for EXP. The max level for a reaper baby is +75 levels on top of whatever level the queen was. Usually on official rates, the baby will take 12 hours to get birthed if theres not an event. When you log out, this timer stops.
Once the baby is ready to birth, build a small room and wait for the baby to burst from your chest. Make sure to load yourself full of meat, because when you imprint it, the baby will kill you and take everything off your corpse. Raise the baby, and boom. You have a reaper king.
THINGS TO NOT DO.
Once you have your reaper baby, DO NOT go into radiation filled areas without a hazard suit. That's free abortion right there.
Do not birth the baby in open areas! It will run away and you'll never be able to find it again.
Enjoy your reaper!
Painful to tame because u will sacrifice yourself 3 times then u will got yourself a Reaper
No need for fancy shields or armour at all. When it starts to glow, make sure you're on a Rockdrake. When it tail swipes, jump off the Drake then back on. It'll grab you.
Here is a good method to tame
1 build a trap similar to the trap of a giga (if you want multiple reapers u build it in stone foundations)
2 lure a queen into the trap using a fast and/or tanks mount e.g. carno
3 lock the queen in
4 lower the queen to 2000 health
5 turn your charge off and see if there is a pink glow
6a if there isn’t turn your charge back on and hit her another time repeat as many times necessary
6b if she if glowing red dismount or be on a small mount like carno or raptor Make sure your charge is off
7 wait for her to grab with her tail be warned there is a chance she will throw you instead of impregnate you
8 if you get impregnated the baby will be born in 12 hours be warned exposure to radiation will kill the baby
9 when the baby is born make sure to be in a 2x2 with a roof so the baby doesn’t escape
10 cyro the baby or use a pheromone gland to make it obey you.
11 once it is juvenile it will be the same as normal baby carnivore!

On Gen 2 use the Rockwell stomach acid to help hurt them
If you get a reaper trapped and it down to the right health you will get impregnated but if you want multiple you can wait for the baby to be born and die and go back if the reaper is still there you can get impregnated again by the same reaper
Kill a few baby megalosaurus and it’ll be at full xp so people don’t have to go around looking for reaper queens
To get a reaper king I recommend you go genesis two keep the reaper in the acid until it is low health then get child run away then to get one on aberration just transfer from genesis two or build a trap and use a shield also another tip for aberration taming lead the reaper out the radiation zone trust me on piece of armour breaks you might need to make another set
Do they have reaper queens on gen 1? Say Tairrow in you response please so I know
To tame one on Genesis 2 you need to go in the Rockwell's innards and take the queen to the acid damage like area (not necessary but is the best way) and all you gotta do is craft some med brew because I think you might need it,Reapers will not be annoying to tame unless you ain't on Genesis 2
Trap a queen in metal or tell because I found out the hard way that queens one shot stone and can burrow thought it
Go to gen 2 and go in Rockwell's iners and put it in the acid pit is very easy to do
Just do it in gen 2 under the terminal
So the only easiest method for me is too find the reapers in Gen 2 in where rockwells heart is there you can find r-reapers and decent levels I would recommend going there instead of aberration
Disable wondering to make raising easy
Give birth in a 1x1 glass chamber with nothing in you’re inventory but a fridge full of raw meat the reaper will kill you putting all the meat into its inventory so now you don’t need to feed it as a baby
Takes 78.5 hours total to raise, each imprint is 11% except when it goes from 44 to 56% to offest for that 1% that would have been lost
The baby phase is 8 hours long.
The +75 levels distributed to a baby Reaper King’s stats are rolled for at birth. This means, if you’re playing solo on PC, you can create a backup of your world right before giving birth and roll back your world as many times as you want to try for better stat distribution.
(This strategy is for if you’re absolutely sick of hunting down good Reaper Queens.)
