Raptors are fast, agile mounts useful for scouting, hunting, gathering meat, and defending yourself or a base, especially when supported by a pack. To tame one, isolate it in an open area, immobilize it with a bola as it charges, knock it unconscious, and feed it meat or kibble while maintaining its torpor and watching for nearby threats. When encountering one, use a bola or retreat to high ground, deep water, or a larger herbivore, while avoiding packs and its knockdown pounce. Alpha Raptors cannot be restrained with bolas, so flee unless you are well prepared to fight.
