I’ve noticed that a traqr arrow knocks it out like 2 seconds. You only need one for a level up to 19 I think.

Be carefull new ark players these raptors will cling on you and kill you. It is most recommended to use a bola to knock out and tame this creature with raw mutton and primemeat

What I did is all u gotta do is bola it get some toxicant arrows and shoot 2 at it then it’s unconscious then get meat and it’s tamed

So I ran into a raptor at about lvl 22 and I just bola it gave it 3 regular raw meats and it was tamed (raptor was lvl 11 at the time). Sadly its herd killed it about 5 mind later 😢 bye bye rappy.

Just tamed a green level 112 raptor. Named it Charlie. To ensure safety for the raptor I shot a Theri and it killed me. Can’t craft a saddle cause I got sent back to lvl 10. Watch out for theris.

Just a warning: Alpha creatures can’t be tamed. Unless you are able to use commands

(Following on from my sapphire dye)

Step 1 make a bow and 10-15 tranq arrows

Step 2 locate a raptor (I find them near the opposing land to herbivore island

Step 3 bola it kill the rest if in pack unless you want to tame them too

Step 4 feed it meat (preferably prime meat if you have it)

Step 5 enjoy your raptor

Taming raptors is almost as easy as taming dilos Except for their pounce and their running speed, which is why your gonna need a few bolas, but from there, you knock them out with just your fists, kill some stegos or diplos and tame your raptor with prime meat as it will make taming easier, when it wakes up tamed, make sure to feed the raptor to heal it fully

When knocking out a raptor make sure bola it and stand far enough back that it can't snap at you the best way to knock it out is with tranq arrows or tranq dart bola it and then hit it with tranq arrows/darts to knock it out and to tame it

Make sure u guys have atleast 3 bolas if u want to tame them because there can be a pack or u might miss and I died cuz I miss once bolaed go BEHIND it I am telling u BEHIND it or else it will jump on u and eat u a tasty meal for him this happened to me too it jumped on my face and started eating my arm thankfull my dilos came and save me. Go BEHIND it and hit him with bat *bonk* shove meat in its throat while its eyes r still open(it's eyes stay open in mobile but idk about pc) and boom u got a raptor DON'T UNCLAIM IT NOW

If your attempting the Argy pickup method of taming make sure you do not have a Dimorphodon on your shoulder. The Dimorphodon can attack and kill the raptor while it is in the Argy's claws.

I had just crafted a raptor Sattle so I put it on my level 6 raptor and whent off to find the volcano. On the way we got attacked buy a swarm of titanboas I got flung off my raptor (Rex) but the first one and managed to kill that one I turned around and helped Rex finish off the one he was working on but because of the venom I got knocked out right after me and Rex recked that snake. While I was snoozing Rex beat 7 more snakes before I woke up! Right when I woke up I saw Rex fall to the ground unconsius right when the 8th snake died I was left with 4 snakes to deal with by myself and barely managed without my pal Rex but after I killed the last one in total we had killed 14 titanbows. I highly recommend getting a raptor mine killed 9 titan boaws at level 6! (Ps sorry for horrible spelling, I’m talking about the big snakes when I say titianboaws just so you know)

Just bola it, use a good slingshot or a bow and use tranqs, if it's above level 174 to level 450 then I suggest using a small ramp trap and just bola it so you can get a few headshots and when its knocked, for low level raptors just use meat, but for high or max level raptors it's recommended using simple kibble or parasaur kibble, If your playing the Jurassic park expansion mod and taming velociraptors then I recommend using a taming pen with window frames as even a level 1 jp velociraptor can destroy a player even with full ascendant flak armor

If you’re looking to tame a lot of these dudes at once, build a stone trap, get the attention of a bunch then lure them all into the trap and knock out and tame them all

How to tame a Raptor

Resources needed:

Bolas (being more if needed)

Bow with tranq arrows (bring more if needed)

Meat or prime meat (if your lucky)

Narcotics

And of course.. Love

Step 1

Find a raptor, if there's more than 1 then either you bait it away or kill it

Step 2

Approach Raptor and throw the bola to it

Step 3

Use bow with tranq arrows and keep hitting until ko

Step 4

Feed raptor with meat and keep an eye out on the torpor meter by feeding it with narcotics because once it gets to zero then the raptor will wake up

Step 5

Wait and defend the raptor, especially from annoying pests like dilos and other Raptors

Step 6

Other tips:

Narcotics are made with narcoberries and rotten meat.

Raptors can pounce on raptors and smaller prey.

Raptors have an extremely fast attack speed.

Raptors run fast.

Raptors get a pack bonus when there is more than 3 Raptors.

Annoying pest but once tamed then life gets good

Dont bring a peterandon under the level of 75 to tame a raptor u will die😅😅

If you’re gonna tame a raptor and you’re wondering what it’s level is get a spyglass first. and that will help you a ton it’s gender it’s level and what it looks like.

These things are op for me (a noob) so heres how I got it

1 can find raptors use mission/task hunt raptor it will take to an area full of them

2 bola them and knock them out using fist,traqs,slingshot (what I used)

3 feed kibble or meat the dododex will tell you

Also protect it from dying

And bam you have a raptor

I use ark mobile and I am a noob/new player so there may be better way that I don't know
