Bring plenty of meat and have multiple bolas ready to go because chances are you will run into more than one. We went out hunting for hide and found not one or two, but four all hanging out on top of a hill. My partner had not caught up yet and the first one went agro. Threw a bola, hit second was already agro and jumped on me. She destroyed almost all of my armor before my partner caught up and freed me. The second ran off into the woods and we thought she was gone. We were unloading meat onto the first unconscious raptor when the second returned and killed my partner. I wasn’t fast enough with the bola to save her, but I did manage to tame the raptor while she was distracted. We ended up pulling 3 out of 4 raptors out of that hunting trip. The fourth ran off into the woods after somehow escaping the bola and never came back. We named the highest level Blue and the one that killed my partner (ICKitty) Kiki for Kitty Killer.

These juys will kill you in seconds so get a bola and a lot of meat and narcodics with a bow make sure you have narcoarrows and you have yourself a raptor wich can kill trikes.

With the latest TLC they can now pounce and pin you and small dinos to the ground. They also have a new "pack" bonus(has to be activated)

tame them as soon as you can. make like 6 bolas even if you see one alone, it's friends are very likely near by. use tranc arrows or bat when bola'd and bola the rest of they come to defend him

easily shred any low level threat early in game with 3-4 raptors, I've taken several carnos out

Fast and deadly. The game doesn't lie. You'd be rather surprised at how fast even a low level can savage a target.

Raptors are an easy tame using bola and tranquil arrows but like to start things they can't handle

Tamed 5 almost two 4 died one from me I left one in my base that's still alive☺

These can be incredibly useful by themselves or in a pack. By themselves at low level they are a decent mount but lack in carry weight so up that. At higher levels they can take even take on Carnos but I would never single handedly take on on an Allo. In a pack (5+) they are a formidable force that could easily take on a bronto or even an Allo (assuming your raptors are highish level). All aside I absolutely love raptors and have a hobby of breeding them. 9/10 would recommend.

Good on their own, unstoppable in a pack of five+

Get on top of a house then shoot it with a tranquilizer arrow

They just take your house and live in it... they did it with me haha. But use bola than slingshot or narc arrows. They are really fast, bit have less weight. Upgrade the weight speed and health, i upgraded attack damage and dont.

Keep them from other animals. Mine keeps attacking my pets and murdered a new born baby castoroide i saw it attacking it through the window of my animal carrier and found tge dead body. At the moment hes been targeting castoriodes so keep them apart

Make sure you don't have a pack of raptors because they mantrap you

If you are new (around 25 in lvl) and really need a boost to your rank find an alpha raptor get him in water while a friend kills him with a bow. It may take a few minutes but the levels are worth it!

When taming a raptor make sure you have plenty of narcotics prior to KO. It will save you a lot of running around trying to collect narcoberries. Kill off as many predators surrounding the area for meat and to lessen the chance they will attack your unconscious raptor and lower your effectiveness rate. If you find yourself with no narcotics or narcoberries you can punch or hit it with a club to increase torpor, but it's health and effectiveness will decrease. (Only use hitting technique in case of emergency)! Finally if you happen to KO the raptor in a place that you're not to familiar with lay down a standing torch near it. It'll help guide you to the unconscious body and provide warmth.

Make ~10 narco arrows and 3 bolas and look for a raptor, go near it, when it runs after you bola it and start hitting it with tranqs in the head until it's out

Taming a raptor easy when your a high level player all you need is good aiming skills while using your bola at the EXACT time, trust me I've missed and got my face mauled by one

PS: NEVER tame alpha raptors of any sort and if you do its your funeral

If it happens that an alpha raptor is near your base and you're worrying about your dinos to be killed, get a swimmer pet and kite it to the water and tadaa enjoy some xp

The new TLC raptors have a pounce ability. If you are looking to tame a raptor, be sure to always have a trike or something following you to save your ass if you get pounced.
