Tips & Strategies

What are tips for raptor? Tips and strategies for raptor in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Be carful they disappear then go some where else
For those of you who are Ark noobs, to tame a raptor you need to:
1. Throw a bola at it
2. Knock it out (for noobs I recommend using a slingshot)
3. Once it’s been knocked out put raw meat in its inventory
4. Wait until it’s done taming
5. You will have a tamed raptor
If you can bola the utahrapter and it doesn’t count trap it with a net of a trap but leaps I’ll just say
GHAST GHAST GHAST GOTTA GHAST
Don’t run try to fight back or reach high ground it’s really strong
The best spot to hit to knock out: head. Reason: two punches later: IS IT KNOCKED OUT ALREADY?
If encountered use bola to stun it does not have much health so you can use pike to kill it
(This is only for ark mobile, I think) By the way, For incubating a raptor egg, when it’s cold, put at-least three one fire place by it. And when it’s hot, put air conditioners around it. If you don’t have any, just dunk it in the water though that might be a hazard but it works. Up so others know!
How to survive raptors
1. Craft a bunch of bolas incase you miss or there is a pack
2. Get a weapon of your chose (above 50 damage) i prefer shotguns
3. Bola them then shoot/stab them until they die
So Alpha Raptor can damage wood! But the Wiki says they Can’t!!!!!!
Wanna get tons of exp without grinding?
Then you've come to the right comment ill show you how to kill an alpha raptor and farm tons of exp both for you and your dino's
Step 1 You will want to get a dino with high hp and knockback (Dmg is optional if you want to kill it faster) something like a stego or trike will do fine
Step 2 Find the alpha raptor
Step 3 Fight it, after finding it use your knockback to reduce the amount of hits taken(You will still get hit because the alpha is extremely fast)after that just chip away its until it dies
Step 4 Profit, after killing it you can harvest it to get (Only) raw prime meat and get 6k + exp (also a rex bone helmet but thats not important).
Hope this helped people who need exp and newbies or just clearing an area
-Slightly experienced ark player
If you have a parasaur, first thing to do is level up its movement speed.

I Was hunting some dilos and 3 2 1 i ded so i Go home I grab big barryonix and kill da idiot
Taming Tip #2
Raptor
First you need to get a bola some meat and a club
Find a single raptor or bring more bolas for multiple tames
After finding a raptor ( low level for beginners) bola it
Then go to the back and use your club to knock it out
After you knock it feed it meat or prime meat to easily tame
Up if you found this helpful this is great advice for beginners so check out some of my other tips if starting the game

So I was just walking around with my dinos (parasaur, moschops, dilo) and all of a sudden compys were attacking and their hit boxes are so tiny and I started hitting my para then the raptors came in I had 2 bolas missed the first got the second then they killed my dinos and killed me !!!
Just bring up to 6 bolas in case there's a pack or you missed
Good luck! Up for my dead dinos down if your mean and like stupid raptors.
If taming a raptor try to use a long range weapon like a slingshot, bow, crossbow, longneck rifle to tame it. This is because if you bola it, be careful if you get close it can still damage you.
Here is a tip I always use:
Step1= Find it,
Step2=Bola it,
Step3=Knock it out,
Step4=Check for safe environnement ( no other raptors allowed ),
Step5=Sleep if the raptor's hunger bar is full,
Step6=Wake up ( you should find raptor's hunger bar totally empty to work ),
Step7=Feed it ( it will be a really fast taming )
Step8=NAME IT HITLER!!
I don’t mind them, but they get annoying when they LITERALLY KILL THE THERIZINO AND QUETZAL LYING ON THE GROUND THAT WERE VERY HIGH LEVELS. They also killed the Tapejara that I really wanted to tame too. And, well, you know what happened in early game.
