whoever said they were pounced by an alpha raptor, you meant normal raptor, alpha raptors dont pounce

In aberration and on mobile these bluds can pounce you off your mount.

I would recomend a stego to fend against these guys on aberration and on mobile as they can’t get dismounted

Can someone write a tip on how to tame an alpha raptor easier in ark ascended.they glow red!

These dudes are fast,I got attacked by a pack of 3 on my parasaur named parasite(yes that's her name)and I had to run into the forest and got chased by a theri and my parasaur died!(one up for parasite)these guys sure are smart and are fast!have your player speed upto112% to outrun them(i've made a gaming guide check it and please up!)

I was walking around, scouting for a potential place to construct my base. Then, from behind a rock, a raptor pounces out at me! I try to run away, but as I was carrying walls for my base, I couldn’t outrun it and died. I went back to pick up my stuff, while looking around for that pesky raptor, and beside my stuff I see that my sweet dilo, Spiny, had survived! The raptor didn’t even care about killing Spiny, just me. Weird!

When I first saw a raptor that was surrounded in red smoke I thought it was on fire so it would be weaker. I attack it and it kills me. Turns out it was an alpha raptor. Remember this so you don’t make my mistake.

I learned that in ASA, Raptors can fit through doors now. This was not a fun learning experience.

Fun fact the raptors in ark aren't Velociraptors they're Utahraptors

I hate these things when I’m in aberration like wtf they can pounce on you. Ark devs hopefully fix in ascendente or they gust did that on purpose one way or another they know how to annoy me popping at the worst time.

I kinda miss the wild aberrant raptor pounce ability

It made early game much more difficult and fun

There were four creatures attacking you and there was only one tame that could stop them but when the world needed it most, it vanished

I just make a trap,

6 wood foundations

8 wooden stairs

10 wooden walls (all on each foundation)

2 wood ceilings

1 ladder

Put the foundation in two rows of three-

⬜⬜⬜

⬜⬜⬜ like that but without the space in the middle

Then put the walls around it

After that put 4 stairs on each side of the trap (2 at the top and 2 in the ground)

Then put the 2 wood ceilings in the middle of the trap. (This will cause the raptor to be too big to move, it might stay still)

Put the ladder some where near the ceiling so you can get up on it. So when a raptor is chasing you you can run up the stairs and jump on the ceiling, but aberration would be harder cuz the Raptors jump, but if not on aberration, the raptor should fall in, then go on the ceiling and start tranquilizing it or just hit it, itll become unconscious! (I learned this by experience.)

I was taming a casteroid in a dino pen which was already 70+% tamed, and then this wanker jumped in the pen through the ramp and ruined tha taming effectiveness, lesson leaned: kill everything around you when taming something

One time I came across a alpha raptor and at the time I was new to the game I tried to knock it out with a bat

If you don’t have a bola or tranqs then just run into the water, for some reason they run away from you when you touch water. If that doesn’t work go underwater they can’t go underwater.

Always have a bola on you so if you see it you can trap it n kill or tame. Or have some strong weapon like an ascendant sword or anything to kill it fast... BEWARE!! cause if it comes too close, it will pounce at you and pin you to the ground. Then all you can do is “absolutely nothing” except watch it eat you to death! Good luck! Also, always expect there to be more than 1 raptor. Play it safe!
