They are easy to tame but watch out for the pounce you can't move when the Raptors on top so If you have enough heath and a good animal you can make it. BOLA needed.

Juste encountered about 7 of em forgot how close they were i was killing a argy lvl 16 with pteranodon (easy kill) then landed my pteranodon little did i know they were on there way (btw i have 500 health) one jumped on me lasted 15 secondes and my mouth droped not sur what lvl they were i know one was bloody cause of pt probably his lvl 135 so .. anyway watch ure selfs for these do not take lightly ... oh and btw these in xave A1 juste make sure there torpor isnt too high thats how one of mine died on my other game there was a titanboa in the floor (thanks wild card again) i didnt see it so couldnt do much...

Found that tek raptors seem to take less to tame over normal Raptor and have better stats

If a raptor decides to run after you try to bola it if u dont have a bola run into water if theres nothing of these strategies jump of a cliff and spam the inventory button so u dnt take fall damage

They do come with terror birds trust me I died a lot and always jump on you good luck

Once you find a raptor and you have a spear it is an easy kill I had no armor and it didn’t last one minute they also have good drops I found two slingshots and a metal pick in them so kill take harvest

When I was new I saw about maybe 3 and one was a alpha so I thought I could kill them bad idea I dead 💀 in 30 seconds but when I got good and understanded the game I could kill/tame them easily

If you see a raptor try keep your distance if you don’t have a bola. Try carry one at all times because it is almost impossible to kill higher level raptors without a bola. If they do start running bola them and it shouldn’t take over 5 tranq arrows to the head to kill them.

I encountered a lvl 100 and only used about four tranq arrows out of a crossbow before he went unconscious

If you don’t have a bola try either running to deep water and swimming away until they turn back to shore or run to a large creature like a stego or trike and hope they bother it instead of you while you make your escape.

Raptors are a good and easy to tame mount for starter players just have bolas and you will be fine in taming. If your playing Ragnarok and looking for one try up near the alpha plateau or in jungle.

As if Raptors weren't annoying enough for low level players, they got a tlc that allows them to seal your fate with a leap and pin. If they aggro on to you before you can get bolas, you're just dead. There is no running, just acceptance.

The TLC update has made these things even more of a pain in the butt, they pin you now. If you have low health, raptors will literally eat your face off. My advice is to hope you have enough stamina and movement speed to outrun them, otherwise you can't do much else.

With the new pounce ability added in the Tlc patch you'll have to punch them to get them off or they will kill you. If not then just make sure you are faster than them, or bola your mate.

WATCH OUT! With the new update they have a pack bonus like allos and wolves the leader has a orange/red glow to them. They can even jump on top of you hand eat you alive they can even knock you off your bird so watch out these guys got a whole lot tougher.

Fun fact: alpha creatures can't harvest corpses to heal themselves or be damaged by wild animals, so only tames can kill alphas.

You would think that you could hide near a brontos legs when you are being chased by an alpha raptor or carno, but this is a bad idea since you will automatically take stomping damage once the bronto gets mad at the alpha raptor or carno, and the alpha raptor or carno will continue to chase you since it has no reason to go after the bronto since wild brontos cant damage alphas.

People really are writing tips about running from alpha raptors when you can get killed in 3 bites or less if youre not riding a mount and they can outrun any land creature. That's funny cause any mount thats not smaller than a carno can kill an alpha raptor, including trikes.

Watch out for aberrant raptors! I ran into them multiple times... They jump onto you and trap you. They killed me so much times 😭

Easily the best way to kill them is to just get a pike and hit their sides. (Unless, of course, you have a gun…)
