Tips & Strategies

What are tips for raptor? Tips and strategies for raptor in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I woke up one time and raptors were eating my thatch base, I rounded them up and went back to my base and luckily they didn’t get to my bed OR my chest. I got very lucky and I have now upgraded my base to wood. I recommend u don’t build a base from thatch, wait for wood first
Tip to kill/farm alpha raptors: do the terror bird hunt and you will usually get Mastercraft or journeyman sword, if you get a weak sword then move on to step 2
Step 2: tame a direbear or therizino, they do a shit ton of damage and have decent knockback, you can also tame trikes but they dont have as much health and dont do as much damage as direbear or therizino, if you perfer on using trikes, be sure to level up melee and health, thats all you need, i do also recommend on leveling stamina because your gonna be fighting for a long time but thats up to you
Step 3: locate the alpha raptor and kill it, if there’s 2 alpha raptors then you need to lead the second one to a parasaur or phiomia, make sure there are no annoying microraptors that will knock you off and get you killed, if your near a river, run to the deepwater, this will trick the alpha raptor that your not there since alpha raptors dont aggro on you or your dinos underwater, thats all, hopefully this helps
Stay clear of them until you can make bolas. Find one by itself. Tame. Keep it alive until you can get it friend. Wild Raptors generally travel in packs and you only have one. It will die. Once you get two you can take a little more risk. 3 or more and you will feel a lot more safe out from your wood 2x1 base. Get 10 and you feel invincible.
Be faster then your friends!
If you want this thing that could pound see you in like one second then I’ll tell you on a journey from the creepiest creature the raptor I did have like eight of these before now I only have six😔 I said takes years just to find one of these things, and then lyrics jumps on you lol so I am going to tell you how to take these big brats 1 get bola and lasso that thing 2 beat the crap out of it 3 put meat in inventory 4 use bio toxin or those blackberries 5 now you have can annihilate a t Rex.
Small weak chickens common in jungle rare in jungle when you try tame 1

Theese things are everywere, specialy if your starting, weak or not prepared, oooooo but when u want to tame one only a level 1 appears and its killed in front of your eyes
(I don’t know if it works on PC or console, but I only tried it on mobile)Guys, stop struggling about trying to defeat an Alpha Raptor! I know the easiest and cheapest way to kill them! But you need to have a flying dinosaur, which should be easy to tame, you can use the Pteranodon, it works perfectly! First of all, place a wooden cage on a flat place, if it isn’t flat, it would be harder to do, so place it on flat land, then lure the Alpha Raptor inside the cage using your Pteranodon(fly the Pteranodon above the cage). Also don’t forget to open the cage door before doing that! When the Alpha Raptor is stuck in the cage, quickly close the cage door. It might do some spinning and dancing in there, LOL! Next bring a crossbow, with 50-70 stone arrows, the amount of arrows depend on the Alpha Raptor’s level. But if you’re using a bow, maybe bring 130-150 stone arrows, then start shooting it with your bow/crossbow, then when it’s dead… CONGRATULATIONS! You just defeated an Alpha Raptor! I hope this helped and good luck! Next, I will do how to tame a Raptor! —Pablo
Do not use bolas If your thinking about taming high level raptors, instead use a 1 by 1 taming pen but do not use doorframes unless you put a wall on top of the doorframe to prevent the raptor From escaping, and then shoot it with tranq arrows and wait until it’s food bar is almost gone and then put prime meat or fish meat if you dont want to waste prime on a raptor, then congrats, you got a high level raptor
Raptors are the best beginner's carnivore. They are fast, agile, and can do moderate amounts of damage very quickly, especially in a pack. They can also punce on smaller prey, pinning them down while you finish them off. Similar to the Direwolf, the alpha of a pack will sound a call to the others, causing a buff to all the packmates. Unlike the Direwolf, however, the buff increases attack speed instead of power. This increased attack speed can actually allow you to deal more damage than the Direwolf. Although the name of this creature is just "raptor," it is clearly a Utahraptor, the largest raptor to ever live, growing to the size of an ice cream truck and weighing 1,000 pounds. This was a beast in real life, but not quite in ARK, as they get killed by seemingly everything. Overall, a worthy starter tame, but useless late game. Unless you want to breed them and give them pretty colors.
Hit it with bola and punch back away repeat
I keep seeing people say they never find them again but you can, go to player profile (like you would to level up) it will say how many tames you have click that and you ca. Request them they lose everything in inventory but you get them back (not sure about tack)
In my experience you don't want to encounter this unless you have put quite a few points in speed
Bola it then knock it out feed raw meat make a saddle and ride it. Saddle had 2 seats so you can have a buddy on multiplayer ride with you. And also, name it Melon_fruit
Part three: I went back to the place and turns out it was a raptor. It jumped on me and took me off my parasaur, but my brave tales fought it off. It ran off and attacked a wild parasaur, but my dilo followed it and killed it.
