For an alpha, a bronto with good stamina can deal with them no problem, they have massive knock back so no issue

Or you can get a journey man sword and do it yourself

Get a bola maybe five if noob bola it and get a club or trank arrows or darts and nock or out and then feed it meat

Step one: you wanna go in the forest (or near a swamp) bola him/her go behind and use a club or your fists to knock it out.step two: go in its inventory and put in raw meat.it’s that simple

A Defence tip:

This is for protecting yourself from raptors pounce (i.e

when raptors jump on you and u can't fight back when it is up there).

Learn the wooden shield engram, craft it, equip it in offhand slot. Next enable 3rd person view and tap the crosshair icon (basically aim button) and keep it right in front of your face 'ALWAYS'.

Now whenever u r exploring and any raptor jumps on u and bites u, no health is lost.

Note: this have always worked on my 'ark mobile' singleplayer. I don't guarantee it on other platforms.

As a moderately skilled player I've had my encounters with raptors and it's so funny to me I could've just avoided so many deaths with a bola A FREAKIN BoLa!!!

I got jumped and died level105 so be careful 👍

Raptors make great body gaurds. They're high attack speed, and running speed means anything that attacks you will be dealt with in seconds.

They also have a slight knockback and can pin smaller creatures. Raptors are great for harveating meat off deaf land animals

Don't try to tame a raptor immediately they are annoying ealry on because you can be taming a dilo for protection and then you're being attacked by a raptor! Also don't take anywhere dangerous until you have more l than at least 5. Happy hunting or taming and stay aware!

If have 3 of this and they can take down a Rex

2 weakneses: The Bola and water. If you encounter one for the first time either fight it or swim. But you may attract the piranhas! You'll struggle to outrun one on land.

Are they good mounts? Well no not really. Why? Weight. They can't carry much including you and whatver armour you have on.

They can pin down small creatures however making easy kills and collected meat and some hide.

I lime to have them as personal bodygaurds which you can simply "hire" on the go.

Put them on Neutral and let them fend for you or themselves. They have a very fast attack rate.

These guys are OP in large numbers. If you see a pack, and you’re alone, beware! If one pounces you, the rest of the pack will move in for the kill. They will shred through all your health and armor.

I’m still a noob but just found out by experience that you become invisible to a dilo while on your raptor. Not sure if there are more things your invisible to but dilo’s for sure! Just.. don’t get off until your farther away unless you wanna kill/tame it

Be careful with this guys they can throw u off your mounts im still new and i didn't know this I'm trying aberration for the 1st time and they got me and my scorpion

Bola them

Beat them with your bat (tranq arrows if high level)

Raw meat (prime if high level)

Their weight is low so upgrade it a few times

Don't just use fist for knock backing it use wire traps narcotics and make them follow you till reaching the traps

You know normal raptors that knock out whit 2-5 tranq arrows well... If you wanna tame x variant make sure you have atleas 60 tranq arrwos for 100lvl they have fu*** big resistance

Feeding it simple kibble or raw prime meat can make taming faster.

Plus, u can also starve tame it with prime and it might tame almost instantly

I walked around my base I had no bed because I just built base. Then I walked out to get resources and boom, a pack of raptors. I Died and lost all of my things I found and they just camped there.

These fast bois come in packs and if you are on you’re mount they can pounce on you and de-mount you.
