Step1:get taming food,I recommend getting prime meat and narcotics(take a few more)

Step2:get taming weapons,get some bolas(if there are more),bow and tranq arrows ,don't use clubs! I learnt it the hard way

Step3:Taming,find a raptor (one that is alone if not craft a few more bolas!),bola them/it us bow and tranq arrows and knock it out(don't get too close) transfer your prime meat and narcotics kill the other one (if there is or you don't need it,I recommend getting the other one as well)

BOOM! you have your own raptor! have fun ! :D

They are very good at harvesting prime meat - about 3x as much as with a pick.

1:get a decent amount narcos and bolas if you miss or a pack 2:hit them once then bola aim for the head 3:then put raw meat prime or mutton is recommended but if dont have prime or mutton raw meat will do put narcotics in to keep it asleep 4:you have raptor.

It is a deadly mount and also help you avoid some threats.Rex and Dilo won't attack you when mounted,it doesn't matter how close you get to them,they won't hurt.

A pack of lvl100+ Raptors can take on many threats easily.

Beware wild raptor will attack you when mounted.

Here is a quick thing to tell how many tranq and stuff u would need for a lvl 1 to a 150

Lvl 1:literally 10 or something slingshots not worth it lol

Lvl 30 if ur on easy mode then it's good can be tamed with 10 or so pieces of meat and 5 tranq i think

80:pretty decent to tame to get a better one needs a good amount of meat and tranq arrows

Lvl 150:ove not tamed one myself yet but if i could guess it requires a stack of meat and 20 or so tranq

Also when ur taking ANYTHING remember to put spikes sprout them raptors and dilos can easily remove all the taking effectiveness

I tamed my first raptor because once it pounced on me it just spaced out after it pinned me down then I took the chance to beat it with a club then tame it

Ah, I get this now! Tip! New players would 100% die from only 1 raptor unless if your very experienced at ark then probably 50% with 2 raptors. But a whole pack of raptors-…(some raptor screech noises)…..(chomp)…….(silence)

Lol good luck with encountering, try to bring a very strong tame with you, mostly for distracting or protecting, suggesting a trike and etc stronger ones, you may survive!

These things are good when you get them a lot of health they can kill anything

If you get 4000 health on them

Make at least three parasaur kibble for a quick tame

This is not a Velociraptor!!!! Ark raptors are actually a sub species of Utahraptor!

To tame it you need a bola and a club.bola a raptor and knock it out with a club.once knocked out you will need to feed it any meat except fish meat.A level 5 reactor needs 7 meat.

It it’s attacking something use the Hola to trap it and use a bat or a sling shot to knock it out It needs around 20+ meat to tame if it’s low level

When I was on a adventure with my allosaurus I found a pack of 5 raptors I managed to tame them all I also named them Blue,Charlie,Echo,Delta and Tango when I visited the raptors in their cage I saw Blue mating with Tango and their new egg after that day I saw a Spino heading towards my base it was coming near the raptors so I decided to make spike wall and lure Spino near raptor cage to kill it I succeeded but it was another Spino coming near the raptors so I decided to lure Spino into a empty cage where it was trapped and knocked out so I decided to tame it

easy tame

1.craft bola and club or slingshot

2.get meat at least 12

3.find raptor craft two bolas just in case you see two raptor

4.bola raptor

5.use slingshot or club if you want to use club go to raptors back then barrage using club

6.when unconscious put meat

7.boom! tamed

I scare of them not because they dangerous, im scare of them because they can throw me off my mount and pin me down so other dino could come and beat me up

If you get pinned by a Raptor on Mobile, start praying that you have enough health to outlast its attack

IMPORTANT!

Do not listen to Dododex they can fit through a door frames! I was tricked by this and left my two Raptors in a breeding pen with a door frame opening because I thought they couldn’t get out and they did they are as fast as -_- and I had to run around my base catching them 😐 so ya…

Once you learn to craft bolas, these guys are not a major threat anymore.

So basically I tamed two dodos when it was night I entered my base but I realized I made a big mistake since there was a raptor close to my base and I left my dodos outside and I heard the dodos get attacked by a raptor and it was trying to get to my base once it destroyed my door I tried fighting it but the most annoying thing about them is that they literally pounce on you and you can't do anything so that's what happened and no matter what happens I keep dying because of raptors.

Here is how u can tame them as a newbie:

First: get meat

Second: get atleast 5 or 6 bolas cuz they might be in packs.

Third: use tranq arrows or club .

Four do this is the day cuz it might take a while depending on their lvl

Fifth: enjoy your raptor and if u brought enough clubs ir tranq arrows you might get the whole pack (if there is one) of raptors
