So. There is a quest in early game, where you need to kill four raptors. The raptors will probably be alone, making it easier to kill them.

However, what I decided to do halfway though the quest, is actually tame a raptor. Pure genius. Didn’t even have to look for it.

In the early gaming, if you kill raptors from high places for example, you could loot some iron hardware in their corpses. They usually drop iron axe and pickaxes, lot of arrows too.

LOOK OUT FOR ALPHAS! I was jumped by a pack with an alpha and it killed my Baryonyx Technoblade and my Rex and almost killed my sarco it killed me once and a just barely slew it with a sword. It almost killed my sarco which was tranqued from a titanoboa. Look out for them as be prepared.

If you roll up on a pack of raptors, you need bolas, tranq arrows, and a big nerve to go up against these things. A solo raptor can’t even make a trike bloody but a back of 4 and wipe 6 trikes. To tame them, bola all of them and knock out the lowest level first, then knock out the higher level, the smaller the pack the weaker. Then tame them up and they are stronger than what they once were

Just warning a raptors rarely alone. Early tame would be much helpful. If you tame a raptor tame the full group. A pack of raptors is inevitable

Cuddling means pressing a button, for ps4 its triangle and for xbox its (Y).

If u dont have a bola and just want to tame it, just find a rock and tranq it out from there

You can tame a pack of three raptors by using a tamed Carbonemys as a passive tank to soak up the damage and act as a distraction from their jumping attack.

You can knock out a raptor by hitting it in the face with one or two tranq arrows you cannot take the alpha raptors but I had a pack of eleven raptors at level fifty and I killed the alpha raptor in seconds with no casualties and it gets you cool items and prime meat

If you jump then pounce before you touch the ground

You will double jump on your raptor

So here's a tip to tame these!

1. Bring bolas!!! I recommend 5 to 8 (if you miss or there's a pack)

2. Bring narcotics! If you bring a good amount of narcotics you won't loose the raptor.

3. Make sure to also bring a sacrifice, if you bring a sacrifice the raptor or raptord will go after it! (I also recommend bringing a dino with high health!)

4. Remember to also bring meat! Any meat will do! ( except fish meat i think)

And done! You got your raptor!!!(I hope)

Ok so in the ark you are starting of you think you are good because you have a dodo and then a raptor knoks on your door you open the door and bop the raptor on the head so then it bites your head off. Ark logic

Shields can block the damage from the raptor's pounce.

These things are super easy to knock out. Just keep punching the same one and it goes to sleep!

I saw 3 alpha raptors and like 40 deinonychus chasing gallimimus wtf?

Ok is there a way that I can carry this from wherever in crystal isles I find it to my base were it is untamed I may need to make a cage for it so.. yea pls help me with this tho

1. Find a raptor

2. Bola it

3. Get a club and hit it as much as you can (only if the raptor is a low lvl maybe under 50 at least, if over use some tranqs) (make sure your club is at full health)

4. It should be knocked out and then give it some meat.

TIP: When ever I tame raptors, once their unconscious I just give em meat and go on with my day cause later on once I’m back at my base I can just request it :D (for new players just press the button on your tames, but I think the request thing only works on mobile)
