Raptors are good for defense, hunting, and traveling.

To whom who asked for tips about a lvl 10 alpha raptor if your tames are lvl 100 or higher, yes fight it. If not, use metal or wooden spike walls.

Easy and useful for the entire game, bola and crossbow to the face and they're yours (a club can also do the trick tho) just try to find one that's alone

You can also just climb to a rock to tranq it but it's a bit harder

Once you get flak or chitin, taming these guys is much easier. Just get close enough to agro them, then bola and use tranq arrows. Kill a dodo or para if you are high enough level, and voila! You've got a raptor. Make sure to either tame more or get an opposite gender. Once you have a new raptor of opposite gender, enable mating and let them do the smoochy smoochies and now you have a raptor pack.

After I knocked this thing out 4 alpha raptors ran at the speed of light and ripped my clothes off.

If you are going on a trip and see one of these in the distance, GO THE OTHER WAY as soon as they see you they will run at you and you can’t outrun them. One coming at you? The water, that’s all that will save you unless you have a bola.

Tame four Raptors and you can kill almost anything,

So you could go on long voyages without worrying too much.

No Rex’s or Alpha anything, and you should be fine.

Also I recommend tranq arrows instead of bola, but I might be using the bola wrong,

So don’t take my word for it.

Though I will mention, Raptors cannot hold that much weight.

unless you tame something that can keep up with the rappers and hold a bit of weight,

Pack light, and don’t intend on taking too much home.

If you encounter an Alpha Raptor, lead it into deep water and make sure it doesn’t go to the shore, get on a rock (if there is one) and you can bow it if you are on the rock or try killing it with a sword or something else

This thing is easy to tame!

You will need:

1. 5-6 bolas (just in case you miss or if there’s a pack)

2. 20-30 Narco/toxin (just in case if it gets conscious to quickly)

3. Bat (or use your fists)

4. Tranq arrows (only use these You don’t wanna kill it)

5. 12-30 meats (raw prime meat could be good too)

Now you are packed! Let’s get started now. Here’s some methods:

Method 1: find a raptor and bola it. Tranq the raptor and begin punching. Once it’s knocked out, feed it the meat you packed. After a few moments, it’s tamed!

Method 2: find a raptor and go to a high place and start shooting it with tranq arrows and bolas. Go down there and punch from the back. Once it’s knocked out, feed it the meat you packed. After a few moments, it’s tamed!

should be your first tame all it requires is a bola and a some meat. honestly ark should make it where it cant be bola’d but here we are you can get a couple of these and your unstopablle

So this is Utahraptor.

Not enough raptors, we need Dromaeosaurus, Pyroraptor, and Dakotaraptor. These variants are rarer, a tiny bit less strong, and smaller except the Dakotaraptor, although I want them to have unique abilities. Dromaeosaurus should have a “latch on” ability, Pyroraptor should breath and light up a flammable gas to make it look like it’s breathing fire, and Dakotaraptor should be more cautious, curious, and patient than our regular Utahraptor, as it is big as the Utahraptor.

Dromaeosaurus = Small

Pyroraptor = A little bit smaller than Utahraptor (Rideable)

Dakotaraptor = Bigger as Utahraptor (Rideable)

What ever you do at a low level never go for an alpha raptor they are stronger than Rex and potentially spinosaur I tried and I learned not to do it I’m saying it as a tip to new players

To tame them

Bola

Club or tranq (I recommend tranqs)

Then feed it prime meat or normal meat

Make sure to have a decent amount of nacroberries

These are great tames, if you get a high level one early on it will wreck everything. Be careful though megapiranha's are dangerous they killed my revy I loved him so much

Bolas are important and crucial for the tame unless you have a dino or multiple people. Boomerangs are also very helpful, more helpful for me than tranq arrows just throw it a few times and go up and wack it. (Boomerangs mainly in scorched Earth but can be found otherwise)

Here’s how to tame a Raptor, it’s very easy! Also, I did how to defeat an Alpha Raptor, you can check it out! Ok, here it is:

First of all, bring some bolas, nothing wrong with bringing more in case you miss or there’s a pack!

Secondly, bring 30-50 raw meat, never tried it with raw prime meat, though.

Also don’t forget the narcotics, you can bring a club, or if you wanna shoot from a distance, bring a bow or crossbow, with some stone arrows, of course! You can hit it with your fists from the back, too.

When you’re ready, go to an area where raptors are located, I have some suggestions, like, Carno Island, or the shores of Cragg’s Island, Cragg’s Island is where my base is in ark mobile, and I usually find a lot of raptors there, also there’s some carnotosaurus, but they’ll eventually stop spawning if you build something there. Nevertheless, when you find a Raptor, bola it, then knock it out with whatever weapon you have, or punch it with your fists in the back, you can bola it, even when it’s still stuck because of the bola on it to reset the bola timer. When it’s knocked out, put the meat in its inventory, and… when it is tamed… congrats! You now have a Raptor! Raptors are very easy creatures to tame! So once I had 2 dilos and I named one Spitty and the other OP

So I was going out to the beach when a raptor attacked me and I was able to knock it out but spotty and OP died in the progress, but I got a buetiful powerful raptor.
