The quetzal. The sign you have truly mastered travel. Long gone are the primitive days of rafts wading through shark infested seas, and of flying for ages to simply have to turn back to your base. The Quetzal IS your base. It’s quite sturdy, able to escape battle in a pinch, and can have armies of men and turrets atop it. You do not even need to fly this thing; put a chair on it, have it in its own whistling group, and simply order it where to go, meaning zero stamina drain. You can even have other flyers parked and ready for dispatchement, wether it be an army of fierce pteranodons or ferrying tapejaras or cargo-lifting argies, this bird is a fortress, airport, plane, and war machine.

How do you make them pick up creatures? -Boa

the quetz has avg speed, it is slower then a pt but it is used for long travel.

You can use a Quetz as a mobile platform WITHOUT the platform saddle. Simply set it to passive, get into position, and hope off. You should just hop up and stand on its back. It’s probably a good idea to have some parachutes hotkeyed as well as have it set to follow you in case stuff goes wrong :-)

These things have great knockback. I pump melee damage into mine and I love flying around the island and fighting stuff.

This is probably the best Dino for taking things. The easiest way to tame in my opinion is to find one and Murder it to get its implant. Then just revive it but make sure you do it in a large box with a closed gate on one side, then when it’s knocked out give it bio toxin or other narcotics until it’s hunter is about half, then give it a lot of raw meat. Then build another large box on the back with a gate on one side and a large trapdoor on top. Then use the box to trap another inside to tame. Boost the health and you can trap most anything

If you put a cannon on the back you can train a titanosaur for an easy tame

Use the skeleton skin to see through the wings while rading so you can look out for enemies. And also so you can see your surroundings

It's a flying RV.

Perfect for transport..

Can carry larg(er) Dinos

Place your smithy or fabricator on it for easy access while gathering supplies.

how to quetzal

1. Get tapejara with saddle

2.put sum rocks on the tape's inventory to have same speed as a scared quetzal

3.find quetzal

4.once found move in the front passenger seat of the saddle and whistle the tape to follow the quetzal with the attack target whistle and just shoot broski with tranqs

5. And there ez quetzal

Or u can eat the weird blue flower and make a medium dino cage with stone dino gates and lead the quetzal there.

The Quetzal’s platform is actually one of the most useful things in the game in ASA, as cryopods can only be deployed around a powered cryofridge. Putting a cryofride and generator on the platform basically makes this thing the only way out of having to walk your boss Dino’s across the island for a fight.

Is really hard to fine them so what do they live?

These can be very helpful when fighting to Desert Titan. You need the platform saddle. You can put a bed on it and Dinos on it so you can drop it on the titan and attack it.

Can quetz even pick alpha raptors? I mean im trying to grab one rn but i cant grab it! Plus quetz should an ability that if u mark a place on a map quetz will slowly go to that area. Up if it should be a ability and for ppl to see this

If you are playing on a smaller server (pve Altho you can do pvp it’s just risky) make a platform saddle, get lots of weight upgrades and chests, and announce in chat a location to meet you at and it will take tames, players, loot or even help with taming in exchange for resources or loot, and if they attack or don’t comply with ur prices, use an argy, trop or griffin to make the em pay
