Not even joking i spent 3 actual days looking for a quetzal to knock out. I found it and I managed to knock it out with a tapejara. But it fell right in front of an alpha t-rex. Then I found another one and knocked it out. I had to fight off an alpha raptor with a my tapejara. Managed to finally get it but then.....

I was on ragnorok bringing a tek quetzal found a quetzal bout to kill it but it was 150 tribe goes ballistic building a cage I put a ballista turret we panicking and all of a sudden it gets stuck on 2red wood trees and stays stuck till it gets behomethed we feeding it now

Best place to find quez is by red ob I found 2 right after each other but in total I have found 6 or 7 by there they really do look like they got Mohawks lol
