Quetzals are rare. I have never seen any quetzals on the map before. On my other ark acc on a different device, I had just spawned and saw a quetzal flying low above my head. Wow.... Someone tell me, what are the taming foods? Ya know what, nvm. Do do dex can tell me. Quetzals are rare....

Can be found around green obelisk not red obelisk

They spawn around the rim of redwood.

This Dino is commonly found in the snow biom or sometimes near the red obelisk, the dino itself is really slow but it unables you to pick up large dinos, you have a platform saddle and to tame a quetzal you need meat or rex kibble but you need prime meat jerky which you can make in a preservation bin by putting some oil and cooked prime meat and to start the bin put in some spark powder which is made in mortar and pastle. You’ll need some tranq arrows like 20-40 or tranq darts but there is a high chance that you’ll kill it with tranq darts so use tranq arrows or toxicant arrows, you’ll really have to look for a quetzal cause they aren’t, well I won’t say not common but you don’t find one so easily.

What not to do, grab your buddy and fly around attempting to tranq the sucker and accidentally drop your buddy and kill him 😳

Sadly most of these tips are for multiplayer servers so, I’ve decided to make a single player tips for taking down to tame quetzals. No.1 always use a Griffin if you don’t have god panel No.2 wait 5 minutes at red on if it doesn’t spawn go to red woods and wait five minutes go back and repeat until you find one No.3 I know knocking em down is quite the pain so use a crossbow and toxant arrows to knock it down No.4 if you have god panel use it to slow down the quetzal by putting speed at 25%

I've been looking around the island for a while now and every time i have found a quetzal is near the green obelisk.

Can’t you just grapple it and use another crossbow or tranq shooting gun and dangle from the quetzal and shoot it with tranqs, is that a thing, tell me pls

When I get off my argy and grapple onto it after deploying my parachute, it all of the sudden disappears while I was getting ready to tranquillize it down, somebody please tell me why it kept disappearing from me!

Any tips for finding one in a multiplayer server? I can’t seem to find any even with using these tips…

So I'm on mobile and I saw a quetzal and I wanted to tame it I went back to base to get the kibble but when I got back it was gone I was so confused I couldn't find it anywhere it is still alive but i dont know where it is if u know any tips to find an untamed quetzal pls let me know PLS PLS PLS
