Sadly most of these tips are for multiplayer servers so, I’ve decided to make a single player tips for taking down to tame quetzals. No.1 always use a Griffin if you don’t have god panel No.2 wait 5 minutes at red on if it doesn’t spawn go to red woods and wait five minutes go back and repeat until you find one No.3 I know knocking em down is quite the pain so use a crossbow and toxant arrows to knock it down No.4 if you have god panel use it to slow down the quetzal by putting speed at 25%

There eggs work great for overrapters

Use a longneck and a griffin to tranq it

Could use as portable base with platform saddle when you get off fly to height barier in the water then place bed and lay on it

Welcome to the first guide of: How to Yeet People

To get started, you’re gonna need one of these bad boys (duh) and a platform saddle. Next y’all need six foundations of any kind,( preferably stone or metal) and 14 ceilings, all attached to the foundations and form of rectangle. You are also going to need one to four mini-gun turrets, one on each corner. Last and probably least, four pillars next to each other and middleish put two more on top and put ceilings on them and put a rocket turret on top, and don’t forget the ladders. You’ll definitely need at most five friends to main the turrets as well. And if you want, you can put canons in between the turrets for siege purposes.

Well than, start building your flying death fortress, and fun ruling the ARK!

Ps, if this gets 250 ups by Christmas, I’ll give you all another blueprint of doom.

The platform saddle is so annoying since it is so small

If taming solo, use grappling hooks, parachutes if necessary, tranqs, and a bird. Grapple to the bird high up in the air and have a spyglass and whistle attack this target, when close whistle passive then shoot. Repeat

Has a high carry weight, and a platform saddle allowing you to gather metal very efficiently with an ankylo, plus after u collect your metal u can refine it and craft it into things you need on the quetz instead of flying back to base and wasting time

SINGLE PLAYER TAMING - Grab a high level Argy with high stamina and a lot of grappling hooks, use your spyglass to look at the quetz and press attack, until you get close. When you get near the quetz, press U to stop it attacking, jump off your bird and shoot it with the grappling hook, make your bird attack the quetz, then switch to a second Xbow or long rifle with tranqs, aim for the head when you get close, and if your argy gets too close, simply press U! Rinse and repeat, it may take some time to get used to doing the grappling hook to the argue, but after that, it's easy! Good luck, happy taming!!

TL;DR

1) Get a good Argy

2) Find a quetz

3) Jump off the Argy and shoot it with a grappling hook

4) use the spyglass to attack the Quetzal

5) when you get close, press U to stop the Argy hurting the Quetz

6) switch to a secondary tranquilliser weapon

7) Aim for the head

8) Rinse and repeat until it falls!

If you have access to a griffin just follow the quetzal and keep shooting it with tranqs until it knocks out. Alternatively you could use harpoon and nets to knock it out of the sky and tranq it that way.

If you want to get a quetzal just get a few rare flowers eat them next to him in any flying dino, bring him to a area with no dinos and tranq him it's that easy

You needs the kibble of rex!!

And you absolutel..you needs a biotoxine !!when you knockout a quetzal you nedds a arrows..blue colours

And add the kibble and the biotoxine to the quetzal and wait simple...

I've been looking around the island for a while now and every time i have found a quetzal is near the green obelisk.

After the nerf they are so slow! There only good for the platform saddle
