When getting metal, get one person to drive the quetzal and one to take all of the metal into his inventory and sit on a bench on the platform saddle. It wont take the players weight into account for the quetzal and will allow you to get infinite metal per run.

Find location then jump of a tall mountain and bolla it to the ground then bites with tamed dolls to know out. One knowcked out come back and check it every half an hour or more. Hope this helped

Quetz catcher does the trick

All you need is a tapejara, shit ton of narcotics, and a longneck with darts. Get on the front seat of tapejara while your friend drives it. And keep following the quetz and trying to knock it out. After its unconsious one person gets prime on tapejara while the watches it. GOOD LUCK

For solo players the easiest way I've been able to tame a quetz is by parachuting off of your flying mount and grappling the quetz then just tranq him and parachute agin when he starts to drop

If your looking to tame (or kill) a quez than simply use a grappling hook to stay next to the quez, then just knock it out. When it's knocked out it will fall so bring a parachute.

The Easiest Way Of Taming Quetzals is The following Below!

Tapejara: Have a Friend In The Front Or Back Shooting It.

Pteranodon: Have a Friend Pick You Up And Shoot It.

Argentavis: Have a Friend Pick You Up And Shoot It.

Quetzal: Either Use a Platform And Build a Quetzal Catcher Or Have a Friend Sit On The Quetzal With a Normal Saddle And Shoot It.

No idea why people want to whistle their flyers to attack the quetzal when you can literally just go as close as you can to the quetzal you wanna tame on a tapejara and then hop in a passenger seat and whistle it to follow you. This way it will literally just hover in the air and you can tranq the quetzal from there. If it goes out of range just jump in the rider seat and move closer. Keep doing this until you knock it out.

You can still use the methods where you’ll set a flyer to attack the quetzal, grapple it (or tapejara passenger) and then tranq it but if the quetzal isn’t a high enough level that method might get risky due to hp and torpor stuff. It still works just fine but my method completely avoids unnecessary damage to the quetzal so it may be safer.

To tame a quetzal you need grapling hooks parachutes and an argy whistle the argy to attack the quetzal grapple on your argy and tranq the qetzal

Use a platform saddle build a small base. Have the quetzel fly up. Dismount quetzel and go in base. Boom you have a flying base and you can sleep in the air.

What i did was killed the quetzel and spawned it on the green oblisk and then trapped it using gates and wallah!!. You got a quetzel in just 5minutes

Since Dododex calculates a bit off, here is the formula for KO:

(Level minus 1) times (torpor/lvl.) plus (lvl. 1 torpor) divided by (number of torpor for weapon)

Ex. Quetz: Lvl. 150 Weapon: Shock tranq

(149) times (111) plus (1850) divided by (442) plus (1850) equals (41.6, but let it be 42)

Yes, it may seem difficult, but it works on pretty much any torpor tamed Dino, just adjust the values

Everyone is thinking harder, but not smarter. When you encounter a quatzel (especially when you’re not ready) kill it. Go to it’s dead body and retrieve its implant. There, go to one of those pillars in the air (recommend the green one) after going back to base and preparing a bunch of darts/tranqs and what you’ll shoot them from. Then get some thatch foundations, walls, and roof. In the middle of the beam of light in the pillar, make a decent sized ‘+’ symbol with the middle part free from thatch. Make sure the walls reach three walls in height and cover it all up with a roof. Be sure you’re inside too when you sealed all exits. Once you’re done and ready, resurrect it. (Note: it will take up to 20+ Ancient Amber for a low level so I recommend stocking up) It will glitch, but as long as the main body portion is in the trap, you’re good. If not; planB. Hit it with the tranq and it should go down in less than 30 hits. I also recommend using a soothing balm to speed things up. Good luck!
