If you have a quetz already dont worry if you have other people just look online to build a quetz trap you need a platform on it and i like to use wood. At this very moment im taming one by myself just make sure you have enough food and water and all the supplies you will need.

For taming I recommend having friend on the back seat of a Tapejara saddle with your preferred way of knocking out animals. Be sure you are careful where you knock this animal out. You don't want to knock it out into the water!

We have found that the best way to tame a quetz is to trap it with another quetz. On a quetz platform saddle, it must be 3 walls high, with some ceilings to keep it in, and some open spaces on the sides, but walls to keep it in as well. Leave the back open and fly in front of the quetz. Let the quetz fly into the trap(the front-middle of the platform must be open so the head can go through far enough). Once the quetz is in, DO NOT MOVE, or it will go right through the trap. Put walls in the middle of the back of the catcher to trap it in, and tranq it. Once it's down, you can tame it in the air, or just move a little and it'll drop out to the ground and you can put spikes around it to tame it where it fell.

Those looking to take a Quetzal get a Tapejara grab a buddy put the Tapejara Infront of the Quetzals head with the Tapejara butt on the head of it. Make sure your buddy is sitting in the backseat so they could fire off! Preferred used tranq darts to get it down faster.

Build a generator, and add an air conditioner next to the driver seat on the platform saddle. You can fly farther north this way and not need to worry about the ice cube.

You can use the Tapejara multi seat to go near it shoot it with the dodo arrow and then tranq darts and repeat

This guy is needed for taming the desert titan. Build a small house around yourself in order to not get knocked off by the flock, and then fly under the corrupt nodules with the quetzal so the lightning destroys the corruption. Make sure your quetzal is high level and has a lot of health though because titans deal a lot of damage! Hope this helps those aspiring to get a massive flying aircraft carrier!

If you place a rocket turret or minigun turret you can wreck havoc on your enemys stay high up though they might have turrets or plant species x

Man, never knew taming these guys were so easy! I had a griffin, so obviously it was easy. Just chased after it while shooting it with tranqs, it was only lvl 85. But, woah, that was my first quetzal.

If you are using tapjara(mobile)the easy way is to fly towards the qutzal and click the chair button to your right side of your attack button then use your tropor weapon to shoot then again change to rider seat and do this step this is the easy way to tame a qutzal in ark mobile

Use a Tapejara to tame them go to passenger seat and shoot them with Trank darts it’ll take like 30

When you take one you can put turrets on its back and raid bases. Like so more people can see

If you are using this to tame a Titano, put some foundations down, make it as large as possible using roofs, and make the area under any cannons on a second level. Trust me, if you don’t, it’ll put its head in front of the cannons.

ONLY WORKS WITH GOD CONSOLE

Get a high lvl and KO it. (Knock out) start spamming level up target on god console and it makes it go quicker. CAUTION be careful of the torpor drop. It goes from full to very empty very fast

The Tapejara trick works by siting on the back and attacking the quetzal. Also make sure your Tapejara doesn’t hit it to much so it doesn’t die like mine did

Just shoot with Chianti’s bola form pararacer platform saddle the knock it boom

For frist tame better find the lower lvl, after that u can put trap on it and trap higher lvl,

Use a few Rare Flower to get it mad at you and to make it follow you into a trap(make sure to build one preahead of time) close the trap and start hitting it with some sort of tranqs.

Formula for KO:

(Lvl. minus 1) x (torp. level up/level) + (torp. for lvl. 1) : (torp. for weapon) = (amount of tranqs needed for KO)

Example: Quetz lvl. 83 Weapon: Tranq dart

82 x 111 + 1850 : 221 = 50 tranq darts

This works for pretty much every dino that is torpor tamed
