To tame use a tapejara and use the chair button then shoot the Quatzal then let him run and once he unloads fly to him and he won’t be running away and just keep doing that and you will knock him or her out, they need a LOT of narcotics, hundreds really, and you can search for prime but leave the tapejara and put him on neutral so it can protect the quatzal, the quatzal is also nicknamed “lord of the skies” because he is the only flying Dino that can hold a platform saddle on the island map.

If you see a a lvl 10 or 20, and if you are only on 40 lvl with pterenedon and parachutes, jumb right above quetzal and hit at least 2 arrows each time. It will be k.o. in 10 to 20 arrows for real.

Or you can level up and use grappling hook. Take a pterenedon with low attack and high stamina, put some Wight on pterenedon to make it's speed same as quetzal. (Test it before flying by calling via whistle). Go above quetzal , open parachute and use grappling hook. Set the quetzal as target and you can change arrows to tranq and k.o. quetzal.

Keep your weight low only keep kibbles bio and tranq arrow in inventory and maybe some spikes in pterenedon because it may be slow when it is carrying you but once you choose quetzal as a target it will run neglacting your weight.

It's easier with a tippy or 2 players and another quetzal

The quetzal. The sign you have truly mastered travel. Long gone are the primitive days of rafts wading through shark infested seas, and of flying for ages to simply have to turn back to your base. The Quetzal IS your base. It’s quite sturdy, able to escape battle in a pinch, and can have armies of men and turrets atop it. You do not even need to fly this thing; put a chair on it, have it in its own whistling group, and simply order it where to go, meaning zero stamina drain. You can even have other flyers parked and ready for dispatchement, wether it be an army of fierce pteranodons or ferrying tapejaras or cargo-lifting argies, this bird is a fortress, airport, plane, and war machine.

Would not recommend using pteranodon. Here’s a little story to show why: Me and my tribemate spot a quetzal. We load up with narcotics and tranqs. We hop on a pt, him flying with me being carried. We get close to the quetzal and I stay to shoot. I hit the hit box of the pt no matter where I aim. The pt gets knocked out and…. I think you know what happens next. JUST DONT USE PT IF YOU DONT WABT THIS GLITCH TO HAPPEN

You can tame this at as soon as you get the smithy. Float on a parachute behind a pteranodon or other flyer with a grappling hook and just weight down the flyer enough to be same speed as quetz. Takes like 10 minutes. Easier with tranq darts but I use a second crossbow cuz I miss a lot and it's expensive.

Easy high lvl tame. Tame a very low lvl make a platform saddle than search up quetzal trap on YouTube and tame an easy 150. Btw use a Griffen to tame a low lvl or anyone else's plan.

When I’m trying to find a Quetzal Me thinking they whet Extinct because I could not find one so I literally just see tapejara

When knocking out a 150, use 80 tranq darts for a regular longneck rifle. Feeding gives 3.4 (No Balm) with prime meat. I didn't look at the time though.

Use a tapejara and have a teammate. Have you or the teammate sit in the front passenger seat while the other person fires tranq arrows or tranq darts

The best way to tame this big boi is with a griffin, whilst e ridding, shoot the mofo.

To tame make sure u have heck ton of ancient amber kill it get implant make red ob trap ressurect boom easy tame

When taming a quetz solo, without quetz, the best way is to guide it towards mountains and get it stuck, sometimes doesnt work though and you have ti deal with the wildlife

Grab the quetz with a tek skiff and knock it out in the comfort of your own base.

Bring at least 300 darts if you're using a jetpack...or grapple hook method

Bruh everyone makes this so complicated. All you need is a fast and strong flyer and and some amber( I play ark mobile) and a revival platform closed up with dino gates and a roof. Find and kill Quetzal by red obi and dont gather it, go to the body and take it implant and revive it by revival platform(it cost me 32 amber for a lvl 11) knock it out and put meat or kibble in its face. Then slap on a saddle a BOOM your very own pelican giraffe dinosaur looking thing with a haircut!!!! Thanks for reading this, I just tamed my very own today😄

Idk if this works but make wooden gates, then tame Equus. You can craft lassos which drag dinos

Easiest way (but consume some times) to tame a quertzal

1. Tame 2 dodo and they must be male & female

2. Breed them

3. Get dodo that has size 1.55% or bigger

4. Farm dodo feather form the dodo that has 1.55% size

5. Craft dodo arrow (at least 3 if u easy to missed

6. Shoot dodo arrow to quertzal

6.5– if you dind't know, dodo arrow will make the dino that you shoot with it will attack you

7. Trap quertzal

8. Knock out quertzal easily

9. Tame quertzal easily without the fear if its drop to water

10. Enjoy your quertzal :)
