Welll, look no further!

To tame one of these,is quite simple but here’s the disclaimers

The simplest way in my opinion is using a wyvern and following it around and shooting off said wyvern, since on wyverns when you dismount unlike other flyers, for example Argies and Pterandons, you don’t directly fall off instead you’re set in a standing position

As for the second disclaimer I mentioned using this method is the only way I’ve tamed one so , if you don’t have a wyvern I can’t help you with much. But that’s why there’s a multitude of tips here to aid you instead of mine I’m just saying all this because it’s an easy way to tame them without much resources being wasted.

Low levels seem to spawn neared red obbi on the island. If you're looking for one, head over there

If you have a snow owl you can freeze it so it falls and then put gates around it

In order to solo tame a quetz, you could use an argentavis and a pulmiscorpius. Just pick up the pulmiscorpius, and do whistle attack target while looking at the quetz, your pulmiscorpius should start attacking the quetz, raising it's torpidity until it is knocked out.

I live right next to the volcano. I HAVENT SEEN A SINGLE ONE I mean like I've seen 2 titanosaurs a bright green max lvl giga next to a bright green max lvl carchar. But I want to tame a titanosaur I have everything I need other than the quetzal. WWWHHHHYYYYYYY????? 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

They have the 50 50 glitch were they fly to 50 50 on the map so the always fly there so that’s we’re you should make a trap or kill it and revive it at your base. Up so people can see

after you have it down and knocked out. get close to it. because anything will attack it. it's more likely going to try and attack it, and hit it. and poison spit at it.

I played on a server and my tribe had a Quetz, so we decided to have some fun by opening a skydiving business. We slapped some chairs on the platform and a box full of parachutes, then one person would drive, the others would sit in chairs, and everybody would take a parachute. Then we’d fly up super high, have the quetz on follow, and all jump off. It’s a lot of fun, try it

You can just change seats on ur tapejara and whistle it to attack quetzal and shoot it with tranq darts. Thats the easiest way to tame one.

Knocked out lvl 60 with almost one hour!!!!!!

Go parasailing to tame this.

1. Find target and jump of Argy.

2. Launch parachute.

3. Grapple hook to Argy.

4. Whistle "fly to” commands and start parasailing.

5. Tranq the target in the air.

Fun fact: Quetzals actually flew up to 80mph, they had to to stay airborne with such a large body. (550lbs) The Quetzals in ark go super slow!!!

There is usually at least one quetz roaming around the red obelisk and craggs Island. Go over there and kill any and all quetzals that aren't of your liking, and then fly to above the nearby swamp or The end of the red lake (or further). Then fly back and be sure to check above the beach area between craggs and the obelisk which is separated to craggs by a thin water path. If no quetzal has spawned there then look around and west of the obelisk. If no quetzal has been found in either area then try flying further away or waiting 10 sec before going back. This method works especially well on evolution event which is when I've mostly tried it. Good luck!

Always keep a equus and lasso while taming a quetzal.

If your unlucky enough, the quetz will knock out over water which normally would ruin your day but if you lasso a knocked quetzal you can drag it out of the water to safety.

Went on Ragnarok to find a griffin. Instead saw a 180 tek quetzal. Long story short I now have a max level quetzal named Doom.

Don't ride it around, it's so slow you'll die of boredom. Get on an argie or ptera and have it following you, it won't lose stamina and you can land on it to regain yours!

Quetzals spawn at the obelisks often, same goes with the red woods

In ASA if you fly too high with your quetzal and reach the world barrier you and your quetz will instantly die and you lose all your stuff. I have no clue why they decided to make it this way but they did so just be warned.

Instead of using a tracker just place a bead on the quetz so u can respawn or teleport to it

These boys can be netted making taming easier.
