I swear when ever I would knock one of these guys out if would always find a way to commit suicide from getting knocked out in the middle of the swamp to drowning in the most tiny puddle I ever seen. I cried because this game just does not want me to have a quetzal

Followed it on my pt and when it flew down to the ground and got stuck in a wall I placed multiple stone Dino gates on him and ko’ed him.

The best place to find them are around the red obalisk

These get stuck in terrain a lot on the ragnarok map, makes for easy tame

The best KO method is to just chase it down riding a griffin, which is the only vanilla flyer that you can use weapons while riding. Alternatively you can "ride" a wyvern by standing on its back without actually mounting it and using whistle commands, you can also mount a tapejara's passenger seat and do that without the slight risk of falling like with a wyvern. Another alternative is to have a friend carrying you with a stamina leveled pteranodon (argentavis might work but it's a bit slow), but be careful not to accidentally shoot your pteranodon!

To tame them you need a strong flyer kill them make a revival platform and then make a trap of pillars you can also use obelisk do not harvest them first

Quetzal is one of the most rare dinosaur in ark if see one. force to tame with rex kibble.

If you finding a Quetzal just go to South Isle it is easy to find just find in the sky they are always in the sky and make sure you have a tapejara or a griffin to tame it easy.....

Simply get a snow owl, find a safe place, freeze it out of the sky,the quetz will walk for a few seconds.freeze again and place 4 dinosaur gates. Bring food and narcotics, enjoy your new quetz! This in my opinion is the Easiest way to tame a quetz in ark, no chain bolas no grappling hooks.

They aren’t always near obelisks. I have been searching for one for days now, have circled the island many times and even done a server reset and have yet to see one near an obelisk. The 2 I did find were near the redwoods and died upon KO due to a troodon pack

Before you knock it out make sure you got spikes to put around it just a tip

If the one u are taming is 30 or below(level) use one Kibble and one Balm, insta taming, Works for all Difficulties, but better at EASY

These are rare. I haven't seen one since I saw one on my old multiplayer server - Roccky the one that has 0 luck

Just shoot it with net falls to the ground then tranq

They usually are not used for fighting unless they have a platform saddle but they are great at fighting even without one. They deal more damage per hit than an argy, and they have incredible knock back, it can even deal a tiny amount of knock back to a Rex if it is on flat ground. They also have a high amount of health and stamina.

So here’s a hint for Ark Mobile if you accidentally kill the Quetz u wanna tame.

1. Collect the Creature Implant before harvesting body

2. Make revival platform (cannot be placed on foundations)

3. Place normal Dino gates all the way around with no gaps

4. Grind out amber from the Supply Drops with orange rings around them

5. Place 2 stone foundations in front of each gate (you can still open them as long as YOU’RE not in the way)

6.Place stone doorways or walls right up the gates, then go 2 walls above the gates

7.try your best to cover the top with stone roofs (this is difficult but as long as the hole in the middle looks smaller than the gateways it’s fine)

8. Revive the quetzal

This helped me tame a lvl 80 quetzal after I failed to trap it near the redwoods.

One time me and my brother were trying to tame one of these and it fell into the water and we had to Watch as our freshly tranqed quetz drowned

Let's make this quick,Get A Tapejara Ride it to red Obelisk, Land on red Obelisk find the quetz, get on the passenger seat, target attack to the quetz, eat rare flower, and shoot itu with drugs
