Tips & Strategies

What are tips for pyromane? Tips and strategies for pyromane in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
A few colors red and orange, yellow and orange, raspberry blue and orange, teal and orange. The blue looks sick
1. Use Karkinos to grab pyromane - it won't aggro
2. Go to the nearest water
3. Drop pyromane in water, just not to shallow or it will instantly run away. It should swim when you put it in water.
4. SMASH IT! and watch for roar animation, when he does that, dismount Karkinos and mount pyromane as fast as you can, you have around 4 seconds
5. Go kill creatures and absorb flame
6. When you hit 100%, use flame boost to tame it
Easy to tame. Take it to water and get it half health. After wards gather fire by flame absorbing things when they are full bar and killing blow will absorb any fire on the dead Dino. You only have 30 sec between absorbs or you’ll get kicked off. If you get kicked off there is a 5 minute timber between riding.
***Useful tips that might come in handy when attempting to tame the PyroMane!
1. PyroMane has a riding cooldown (approx.3 mins) if knocked off during the taming process.
2. If you’re wanting to use a trap, I suggest putting the trap half-in OR near some form of water. It retains the PyroMane’s doused debuff (comes in handy when kicked off multiple times & are waiting for riding cooldown).
3. Bring extra Dino’s on your hunt! (ones you’re okay with unclaiming and don’t mind having killed) This helps speed up the taming process incase wild dinos/creatures aren’t around for the PyroMane to kill. (Which happens more often than not on the Center Map since PyroManes spawn in the Volcano area)
Rhynionagtha can in fact carry the pyromane so you could just pick it up and drop it in water on scorched lol
I haven't had a lot of time to test it, but here is an observation that could help. The Karkinos in abberation can indeed pick them up and you won't provoke it on a karkinos.
If you have a wyvern pick it up with it and the drop it water then you should know what to do.
Wyverns do not get their attention and you can pick them up I haven't tried it but I thought about it just picking them up on the center and taking them to a spot where a lot of herbivores are therefore you won't just die because I lost several because of Rex's and carnos, but here's my story about how I had a epic encounter I guess I found one of these enlarged flaming cats it was a 145 I was riding around on it trying to tame it and I got the attention of two more it died but immediately I lured another one into the water got on its back and went around taming eventually it died and I got onto another one and successfully tamed it keep in mind I spent a good 15 minutes on each of them barely scratching their health and managing to toggle everything there was so much going on I don't know how I kept on getting on another one I didn't look at level I just saw one grabbed it and then went on by far one of the most chaotic moments in my entire history of playing this game, but overall these giant inflamed house cats are really good they could be a pain because if you simply fly over them they will lock on to you like a homing missile and will kill you if you're not careful bring really good armor and a decent crossbow is how I managed to get one of these and don't be afraid to give it a hug just make sure you have really good armor or you're not going to last too long
Douse in water with either rain or lure to water once wet deal damage until cat. Roars, once it roars, kill things. Best things to kill are barrys
They can be carried by a Quetz, but you have to keep dunking them in water so they don't roast your bird.
Just waterboard them while traveling to a higher population taming ground, that has oodles of low level critters with babies to cook....I mean tame with!
Drop it in the shallows near your desired taming spot and quickly dismount and engage the flame kitty as it swims toward you. Knock its health down until it lets you ride it, then dive into the target rich environment you chose to set aflame.
I've tamed some nice Pyromanes in this manner with minimal issue! Avoid targeting birds, Cerats, Allos or anything else with high health, the ability to fly away or health regen. They're almost guaranteed to mess up the taming efficiency.
These things are a pain in your ass when you are taming on aberation make shure your dino you got down there with has a lot of health I have lost a crab and a spino just trying to tame one of these things
To make this easy for noobs go To water and then punch it
No more dlc it 5$ buck I hate you have buy 1 more
1. Find a pyromane
2. No water? No problem use a Extinguisher Grenade on it
3. Shotgun it or anything u like
4. When it roars ride it!
5. Kill anything u see
6. Use the absorb skill to reset timer or when bar is full on a enemy.
7. Ez 100% taming
Pay.
Why can an argy pick them up they should take fire damage
Bring over wilds and knock them out in a area, whoever is riding the cat needs to get the essence bar full and then ur tribemate can help you kill or lower it's HP so the timber resets and u get that taming effective. On 1x taming in one hour i got it to 50%
Make sure the wilds u knockout have enough HP for the essence bar to fill up or it won't add much but it will reset the timer
You can absorbs the flame to reset the tamming timer, even the flam bar is not full.
1. Trap a giga 2. Lead to water (I think any source) 3. Damage it (i recommend using a shotgun) 4. Wait for roar animation 5. Get on the pyromane 6. Go to trapped giga damage on the back of him 7. Keep pressing flame absorb 8. Wait till it says to press uh something to tame it
