Great tame for being a hidden loot crate on a battle field or raid area for quick loot just tell them to bury and boom have replacement armor ammo and explosives and boom use for this creature that no one uses for some reason.

I tamed one of this at the dumbest way possible, at level 58, I think.

I was flying arround redwood and one of this stuned me and my lvl 62 ptera, I whistled neutral on him, A carno also attacked us, it wasnt too much problem, my stats are high.

The purlovia was trying to attack my ptera, So I started shooting trank arrows (with crossbow). After almost +10 arrows (I missed some), I knocked it out, and killed the carno.

You can get up a rock and shoot it safely, not like I did XD

I gave it 5 prime, and now I have this guy taking care of my metal and obsidian under my base:)

Theyre actually in a good body build compare to the moschops so why dont they make these rideable....

You can use them as a hidden treasure chest. If you are a solo player this is very helpful, as long as you remember where they are. Also if someone knows where it is, they cant shoot it, and they have to waste nades or c4

I highly recommend taming one you can use these to hide your loot in case a raid happens but it is amazing at defending you base as well it is really good at taking down flyers because it can jump up and kill the riders would only pump damage and health if your using these to defend your base if you using them as a secret storage box then pump health and weight hope this helps and see you in the next tip ;) - A.L.N.A

I saw one of these things whilst on my best spino names spike and killed it with like a billion terror birds on me in the swamps next to the redwoods and saw a purlova for the first time. And did not know it could do so much thing and how dangerous it was.

Hide all your stuff in this guy and make it go under ground

Just one of those dinos that will haunt you no matter what point in the game you are currently at 🤷‍♂️ Literally no way you can prevent being killed by one of these things except just STAYING AWAY!!! I am level 87 and these things still haunt me 🤷‍♂️ The funny thing is, they are worse than a Rex or Giga in a way 🤔😂

They are the ark Mobile equivalent of Thylacoleo

When buried they are immune to damage but the hitbox is still present. I use a team of buried purlovias to surround and protect purple OSDs, works quite well

You can find these dinos in the redwood biome or snow biome. I had trouble finding them myself since they blend in so well and if they are up out of the ground they look like dire bears! Until one day I was going to tame a megaloceros and I knocked it out, the darn Purlovia snuck up on me and ate my tame! Always bring a bola and at least 10-25 tranq arrows, depending on your bow. Do not let these guy pack up as they will rip you to shreds. Best method I find that works is to climb on a rock or build a pen around it quickly and then starve it out before knocking it out, this way you don’t have to waste narcotics on the Dino. Use prime raw meat for 15%+ each piece! And if you wanted to know what they are useful for... HIDING YOUR STUFF AND BEING A MINE FOR PVP!!! (If you made it this far, I give you my last 180 words I have left...) I wish these were rideable they would be so cool! I just tamed one and was really bummed out when I found out I couldn’t ride it.

Kill it get its implant revive it at one of the revival platforms and tame it (it might be easier to build a trap around the revival platform)
