These are not really dangerous if they are unburied, but if they are buried, they will either stun you or your mount. It may not be a problem if it’s only the Purlovia in the area, but most likely it’s not only.

I was in the snow biome with my Royal Griffin, killing an alpha T-rex, when all of a sudden this thing jumped out and stunned my griffin. Nothing good came out of this, the griffin was killed by the alpha T-rex and a couple spinos and shortly after, I died too. Thankfully I had nothing valuable in my inventory, but my griffin died and there’s not much I can do.

Never fly low in the snow or redwoods unless well prepared for dismounting and stunning.
