Always keep spoiled meat because then there is a 50% less chance of a seagull stealing your pteranodons food or anything else you put in your pteranodon i guess

When I was lv 50 or so I got rid of my first ptera to make place for an argy, but then I met another ptera just lifting up from the ground. It was a mere lv 7, but with an almost pure black body from the tip of its beak to the edge of its wings. Just spectacular. So instead of the argy I was about to knock out, I tamed the ptera, and named her Duskwing. (I did get the argy later on but not by replacing a ptera) Even to this day she's still in my camp, as a lv 47, faithfully watching over the coast, ready to bring me swiftly to wherever I want to go, and providing nutritious eggs.

Pteranodons are great. In calm situations, I fly along the ground. They go faster than most early game land mounts, but watch for predators.

Even after flyer nerf they are quite usefull cause you can steal wyvern eggs on them.Only look for 145 or 150 and use kibble for tame. Upgrade stamina and weight because it must carry you and the egg. gl

Remember even though these guys are quite early game creatures they can still carry a player, which can help with taming other creatures- tranquil arrows and crossbows

I just tamed mine couple minutes ago and I was goin to do the "in the south of the island" quest but I didn't know if he would make it, he has 429 stamina is that enough or do I need more?

If so how much?

(I live close to herbivore island on the beach and I'm about 1-1.6km away from the quest.)

One of the best PvP flyers in the game especially if you are on a unlimited weight sever

They can pick up small creatures like dodos, lystros, dilos in their hand-like back feet. However, unlike an argy, they cannot peck whatever they're carrying.

You can, real carefully, get off your pterodactyl in midair and whistle for it to stop. Then, you could shoot whatever you want. Just keep an eye on it’s stamina.

On Valguero, a great way to farm keratin for CP is by going to 25 43 to the “Garden of Bones” and using the pterandon’s C-spin attack on the bones scattered on the ground. The C-spin attack will harvest roughly 2-3x more keratin than a regular metal hatchet.

I used a group of 4 to go to red peak.They carried my preacrafted base.

This tame is useful because it’s a flyer. I personally tame a pteranodon so I can go and bait another flyer that is bigger into a trap. (Griffin, Argentavis, etc.) They are very easy tames to get, usually the second tame I get with only something like a Parasaur beforehand. They can be helpful to scout and go around the map quick as they are fast flyers. I usually use my first one to setup a base in a far away/ hard to get to location. Overall, Pteranodons are vey easy games to get and very important assist for you at the beginning of your adventure.

Alright so if you have a dodo that You really like or c4 dodo you can carry them on a pteranodon it is op I have killed so much with op dodo ( Trevor)

A good usr for them Is taming creatures like bronto an paracers another use is taming things that will attack u and can't be bolad

Most useful dino in PVE. We have a wide base with rivers, hille and towers. We don‘t use our feet, we always use our personal Pteranodons. Tame the best guys with kibble, breed new ones and level weight. You can reach 450+ weight with 1700 HP and 300+ damage as basic values giving you an alround friend who you‘ll never leave alone any more. My favourite dino for sure.

For those who don't know how to do barrel roll in mobile go to settings/controls and multi tap on right and put attack 2nd and there u have it and by the way the barrel roll does tons of damage if u level up melee damage for pteranodon

by far its the fastest flyer i have seen tame one high lvl put points in speed and max the speed,u can literally travel from one end to other end of map in less tgan 30 secs use collor on it for grater results

Pteranodon are great for starter or mid game games. But on ark mobile you get the saddle at level 28. Overall great for taming!
