It is a fast mount to quickly fly to places on The Island,I do not recommended it for beginners as a carrier because it can’t hold much,but it is very agile and fun.I would recommend leveling up mostly stamina to keep it in the air for longer and speed to get to places quicker.A little bit on the weight or health,but it all depends on the person.Customize it however you please,make it into a ultimate destruction pteranodon or a fun,agile racing game pteranodon,the possibilities are endless in Ark.

If you have like ten of these lying around use them as a distraction for wyverns cause after you get a egg all hell is coming when it has arrived whistle agresive and boom home free

Use it in PvP, grab the enemie off his tame bring him up in the Air till he gets out a bola or a whip, then drop him and when he has a Parachute just barrel-roll him towards the ground. Repeat it. Easy.

Make sure to pump weight if you are planning to carry a tribe mate or you will have a huge problem

A Pteranodon can be an effective battle mount, given enough stamina and melee points. The roll attack allows you to do damage and speed on by without taking too much yourself, and with some points in stamina you can keep at it without having to land often. You can easily outrun nearly anything to land for a moment and rest up, and they regain stamina quickly.

Have a few parachutes ready in case you fall off or it lands in water or it goes unconscious mid-flight.

In the wild, its only use is hide and meat but it’s only as much as a dodo. When tamed you can give it a saddle to use it as a flyer. It has high stam and medium speed, but little to no weight.

I’ve spent 2hours waiting for one to land only for it to be a lvl 3😂

I’ve tamed a lvl 290 with kibble and lvled up speed then up to 2000 stam. Then the rest into melee and it’s OP

This winged animal can be the next flash of the server if u increase its movement speed. This animal is very good for scouting our base or players but it's downside is Health, melee damage, and weight which for low lvls is a problem. If your looking for a winged animal like the traits above the Argy is your best bet

Pteranodons are probably the easiest game to breed and hatch so if you have never bred or hatched before I would suggest doing it with a pteranodon.

No utility as of new update rip all your battle and travel birds cause now they slow af and got like no stamina

Very good starting dino. Definitely tame early on to get around and find a place to build your base.

Use the door frames to fit them into bases when raiding a high level Pteranodon helps it kills quick just make sure you have backups because you might get hit with a bola. Also tame low level pteranodons to suicide bomb bases with turrets it helps a lot I wiped and alpha tribe by taking down their turret tower with suicide birds. Lost our best giga tho we only had 15 now we're alpha.

2500 stamina 200 speed 300 weight 300 melee thats an all around good mount

Don't forget to not put it to next to a stone wall that way it can bug out and just disappear. I lost 3 birds that way
