If you want to have the blueprint for a pteranodon saddle at lvl 30 something here's an idea

1.Use a settings that if you break a thing it gives all the resources that needs to craft it

2. Gather a LOT of stones and hides

3. Craft 15-25 mortar and pestle

4. Use 2x XP buff

5. Place all of them around you and then break them and then re-craft it over and over again until the XP buff run out

So me and my pteranodon was planning on traveling ark in a safer way so I said goodbye to my tames and went of. I rode my pteranodon to the mountains and these griffin looking things attacked us. But the thing is it didn’t say it was one. It started with an I but I forgot the rest. And at the bottom it said “does not respect you” it attacked us and my pteranodon attacked it. My pteranodon was only 1/4th of its health. They fought and the battle was on. My ptery died sadly. It was one of my fav tames other than the rest. I went back in rage and attacked it and shot it with arrows. But I then died to. I am planning on bringing back more pteranodons to avenge them. R.I.P Watermelon 😭

These guys are ideal for crystal Wyvern taming, get 2 parachutes, a few water skins and a fair bit of food, set the pteranodon to follow, then wait for the Wyvern to land, dismount from the pteranodon, land on top of the Wyvern, and stand between the shoulder blades, feed crystals until tamed, use parachutes if you need to, and boom, you have a Wyvern at level 50!

I have a pteranodon named Attack Helicopter and I went on the pro hunt carnosaurus pursuit and he absolutely (no exaggeration) DESTROYED the carnos!!!!!!! The barrel roll is so op just level up the stamina and u got a flying attack helicopter no joke buy one get none free get it while u can at your better stores near you!

Just a story. My perfect tamed pteranodon jet my favorite dinosaur almost died because I was bored and I barrel rolled away so much it got knocked out and fell into the ocean. Thankfully ark mobile has a request feature and I got him back.

In valigero pteranodons are extremely useful bc of all the mountains that the player can't climb up bc it is either: way too steep or their is preditors on the mountain.

Not good for battle there low health and low stam level can help butt attack is it that high at all join my tride on mobile dodo sever happy bay to all and a good tame

This is the best animal for flight for beginners

Do not carry a player with it to tame something unless you have ff off or it will go unconscious and what you are taming may kill you and the bird depending on what you are taming

Even though you can’t level up flyers, I often get extra movement speed with the taming effectiveness levels.

I’m pretty sure the mace is 135% as that’s what I’ve got.

(Btw, it does make them faster and is able to be carried on through breeding.)

It can do a barrel roll. Go to settings. Controls. Either choose left or right multi-Tap then select reload/alt attack 2. With two fingers tap on either the left or right of the screen.

A lot of people say these are mainly early game fliers, but I do not agree. I bred and imprinted one and levelled up its hp and melee. Now it has 8K hp and does 1K damage per barrel roll. Found a lvl 100 giga but I wanted a better one, so I took out my pteranodon and barrel rolled into its tail repeatedly. After a few minutes it’s dead. It managed to bite me a grand total of 7 times while I hit it ~80 times. Since I had an ascendent saddle it only did ~3k damage (most of these came from bleed) with those 7 bites. Imo the pteranodon’s barrel makes it the strongest flying battle mount in the game by far.

I actually recommend using a pteranodon as your flier. They are the fastest flier in the game, so they can travel quickly. They aren’t the best for carrying things, but a high level ptera can have alright weight stats. They spawn commonly so finding them shouldn’t be hard either. They are immobilized by simple bolas and can be knocked out with anything.

Wild card should add glide feature to ptrenadons just like the Griffin

It grants you a lot of speed and you look cool doing it

It can actually fly trough a singel door just fly against door then go down and ur in

Don't play with megalosaurus when they exit caves... they can grab the pteranodon!

Start with a lower level first. I tamed a perfect 150 with kibble. Sat there for two hours and the next day we were wiped.

When breeding your egg tempatures are 26-33. Not 29-32.

I use two pteranodons for two roles: specialty transport and scouting.

Level up weight on the one for transport and you can easily fly to a mountain top, gather loads of resources, and fly home. Easy-peasy.

And the one for scouting level up stamina and speed and you can quickly fly to any destination on any map.

This flyer is very useful itcan be used to tame quetzels just pick up another tribe mate a knock it out with tranq arrows :)
