Apparently If you are in Ark Mobile, Just go straight for Medium Difficulty even though you have no experience.

Taming them in Easy Difficulty is Absolutely useless although great for travels, It can’t carry much weight. And as we all know Heavier Weight = Slower so even you have max speed pteranodon It won’t be useful for much long.

Man just go to Medium Difficulty then Tame an level 110, It should have enough decent stat to carry you till mid-game— many pros still use this as an traveling method due to the fact that even if you had an argy it would be pretty slow.

Upgrade that Stamina a lot your gonna need it also this bird is op with a golden collar

When you tame a Pteranodon, don't plan on using it to fly to mountains or volcanos for metal. Tame an Argy for that. Argy's reduce the weight of metal ore and ingots. Their saddle can also be used as a portable smithy. Use Pteranodons as travel or war birds.

If you want a good base speed start breeding high lvl pteranodons

So I was at the red woods hunting for dire bears and hide when I was on my bird it got out of stamina so I land and get some hide while he’s taking his break titanboa comes out and gives me a kiss well I’m dead as I think to myself while my guy is asleep but no it was a low level and two high level dilos kill it and almost me before my bird does clutch and takes them on giving me time to wake up and call on my Arge while a PTERANODAN fights a titan boa and a kaprosuchus me and my arge fly away I see my pteranodan behind me unscathed. Moral of the story pteranodans are straight up savages

Extremely low stamina and weight. Make sure to pump that.

If you tame one of these deffinetly check its weight stat.low level ones have amazingly low weight and because of that it may not even carry you if you only jave simple tools ob the inventory

Still a over-all good small load flyer.... just used one of these with a Fjordhawk to nab wyvern eggs. Only obstacles was escaping, still got 2 eggs before being toasted to a crisp. Would recommend Stamina, then Movement/Weight. The more barrel rolls you can do before exhaustion is key while maintaining maximum movement speed and minimum weight to outrun a wyvern. Lowest being 180% movement(base wyvern speed sprint-fly speed), would recommend 145 if using barrel rolls instead. Weight should be around 300 for going naked/minimum gear and items.

So I have a level 44 pteranodon, I named him terry. He was a weak tame but I had him for most of my game, he is the king of the territory I live in, he has killed a couple alpha raptors, countless brontos and diplos. Plenty of Rexs Carnos and raptors, I painted his saddle pink cow I thot he was a female, he’s a male. I might repaint it, but for now it’s pink.

Barrel roll on PlayStation Is done by clicking R3. (The right thumbstick.) It does use up a lot of stamina so use It wisely.

I recommend only levelling up the stamina before you have a saddle so when you can ride it has good stamina, I did this it helped a lot

You can use a bola on it

And it can fly it is very fast

Make sure yours has good stamina or stop frequently because they will kick you off if they don’t get rest to regain some stamina, I was just kicked off of mine when exploring had to go into creative to get back on it

I see a lot of people’s pteras dying because they didn’t follow their owners when they whistled follow in a battle. I just wanted to say they will keep attacking if they are on attack target or neutral, so you have to whistle passive then follow. It may be risky, but sometimes it’s your best hope.

This about about keeping the ptera down when you nock it.
