How do you tame a Pteronodon?

-Knocking out and taming-

Well first you need to find one and be sure it's a high level. It's not too hard finding one because their mostly flying everywhere. But before you start to tame it, make dodo kibble first (on mobile and console only). When you have found the one you want use a bola on it and knock it out, I recommend tranq arrows which can be unlocked at level 21 (I think). Then feed it with the dodo kibble you made and wait a few minutes, make sure you have narcotic on you just in case.

-Stats-

If it's a low level it doesn't have much health, stamina, or weight carry so I recommend you finding a high level one. Even tho they don't have much stamina or health, they are very fast and can get around the island very quickly, tho you might have to make frequent pit stops.

-Tips-

1. You can do a barrel roll with a Pteronodon. To do this go to settings and choose right multi-tap then choose "reload/alt attack 2".

2. You can pick stuff up with your Pteronodon, tho you can only pick up dodo's and dilo's.

How to tame Pteranodon without the smoothing balm!, it's easy↓

Materials: Need to tame Pteranodon faster:

1) Make Tranq arrows at least according to your weapon power (example your bow give damage of 350 of 1 hit and 1160 of Torpor).

2) Carry a sleeping bag.

3) Make a dodos kibble at least 10 and carry 40-80 raw meats.

4) Make a Bola.

You are ready to tame now↓

First find some good level Pteranodon and make sure there are no carnivores dinos.

And then wait for midnight watch on your dino when Pteranodon come down for a rest to fill his stamina then place your sleeping bag near to visible between you and Pteranodon and then go to sleep

When you wokeup then immediately bola to Pteranodon and knocked him out

You will see (Pteranodon foods stats is 0) his health will be draining that time then put your dodos kibble in Pteranodon inventory after put raw meats

Just wait 5-7 mins!

Now it will tame faster ⚡without smoothing balm even🙂

How to tame you will need a bola,a wooden bat any type of meat and bio toxin/narcotics when it’s on the ground throw the bola at it and hit it with your bat now when it’s unconscious feed it your meat and wait a little then if it’s almost conscious feed it your bio toxin/narcotics you need to kill Cnidarias for bio toxin and you will need the mortar and pestle to get the narcotics unlocked now look at your area to see if there are any carnivores around if there is kill them now you have a pterodon

I’m on ragnarock, and I found a 140 and I somehow knocked it out with 2 tranq arrows? I’m assuming this is a glitch but it was a good one I guess because then I tamed it up with mutton and named her hetty thank the ark gods 🙏

On Ragnarok if you spawn in highlands, you can knock it out with an equus. Since ovis also spawn there, you can kill some to get raw mutton and it’ll tame the pt faster with better stats.

What I did, is follow it till it lands and throw a bola at it (I used three). Then shoot it in the head with tranq arrows. It took me about 20 arrows. But I'm in a special server so may take more. Feed it raw meat or fish is even better.they might release from the bola so be ready. I've tamed one and its killed three argentavis. And a few hyenas right after.

Use a bola first then hit with knock it out it really helps unless you like the chase

If you're taming a high lvl, just bola it and have two tranq arrows. A few narcs, and get prime or mutton. If it's low lvl, you could probably knock it out without a bola.

Favorite tame and easy to tame if you have a dodo a carrot and cooked meat and purple berries.put all this in cooking pot and add full water skin.then get a crossbow and tranq arrows and shoot on add the kibble and sleep stuff

To knock a Pteranodon I’d advise using bola so it doesn’t fly away and then knock it out with trank arrows or trank darts.

Tip always bring a lot of narcotics because they take they take a while to tame and there sleepiness gets down fast but takes a little bit to wake up unless you just tamed it

What does it need to tame wild knockout?

I didn’t bola,two tranq arrows to the head boom it’s knocked out then put some fish meat there you have a very good flyer (also use soothing balm and do some fishing before you tame one)
