HOW TO TAME A PTERANODON:

Step 1. Gather around 20 meat.

Step 2. Craft one bola.

Step 3. Make around two Narcotics.

Step 3. Bola a Pteranodon that is on the ground and use your FIST to knock it out.

Step 4. Feed it meat.

Step 5. If it gets close to waking up, exchange the meat for a narcotic.

Step 6. Protect it from other animals until it’s tamed.

Step 7. ENJOY YOUR NEW PTERANODON!

(P.s you might not get it the first time but that’s okay!)

Bola it, 2 tranq arrows into its head and its down.

Do it preferably on ragnarok in the highlands and use mutton off the sheep.

Don’t forget to starve tame it ie. ( keep it asleep and let it starve before adding the food )

Bring narcoberries or narcotics or tranq arrows these things at a high level drop torpor rates pretty fast. Not Galllimimus fast but still pretty fast. BEWARE

Also if its your first time taming or flying one don’t fly in water no joke you come off your Ptera and are stuck in water you have to try calling for him and he will circle you it’s hard to get back on but possible

Pteranodons are the top-recommended beginner’s flyer but all creatures have flaws— first of all the recommended stat points are put in its stamina— second they have only around 100-250 kilos they can carry. Including you and the saddle it’s about 1/3 or 1/2 it’s total weight. They are a pretty easy tame but it’s better to kill some type of small creatures so bugs can eventually spawn in.

It took 20 minutes of feeding it raw meat and jellyfish toxin but it was worth it! I, myself am on level 11 and now i have a level 36 pteranodon! It’s very easy to knock out all you need is a bola and a wooden club(Plus about 20 raw meat and like 10 jellyfish toxin)

Why on earth isn't the taming bar going up?????

Easiest way to get a high level pteranodon is to spawn on ragnarok in the highlands. Bola one and knock it out. Then take it with ovis which are commonly found near by.

So you want a bucketload of meat before taming and A LOT OF NARCOBERRIES because their torpor is super low and it’s torpor drops fast, you pretty much need at least 20 narcoberries and stats are ok but I would recommend going to get their stamina to 700 then increase their weight and probably grind on it.

Place wooden spike walls all around (you'll need 3-4) so no god-damned dilophosaur can hit it

Bola it on the legs it stops it from moving then club it until it’s unconscious then feed it lots of raw meat and narcotics

They lack of stam, weight,health.pump these 3 it will be worth it

If you want to tame one just bola it and then hit it with some Tranqs and feed it meat cooked meat or prime meat or cooked prime meat or simple kibble hope you got you pt

Now I’m tellin you you have to be careful with the stamina where you land mine was killed by a Carno cos I had to land. So upgrade it’s stamina

USE DODO KIBBLE. NOT MEAT. ITS SUPER EASY TO MAKE AND MADE MY PTERADON TAME TWICE AS FAST.

Ok so basically just 1.craft bolas 1 or 2 will work they last 30 secs each and they cost basic matierials 2.get a bow and tranq arrows bows u unlock at lvl 5 or 6(i believe)tranq arrows u unlock at lvl 21 3.U want to unlock its saddle before taming believe me ik u unlock the saddle at lvl 38 if u dont unlock the saddle first ur just gonna focus on leveling up and nothing else so u wont get anything done 4.Use dodo kibble unlock the cooking pot and so u get some xp do the pursuit for it also the dodo kibble works best 5.then once u have everything u wanna get some bio toxin u can kill cnidarias to get it but be careful 6.Now just knock it out and when the torpor gets low feed it a bio toxin have a good time=) -JJ (just tell all ur friends so they can have a pt too)

This is my first flying dinosaur and I got to say you got to love the bola made it really easy to catch this dinosaur

I will pass this on, as a kind soul in a forum saved me a high lvl ptera with this info. If ever they disappear on you, check way up in the sky above. Seriously, way up, you won't be able to see them from the ground.

Bola then Pew pew it. Easiest way to knock it out. Make sure to have ALOT of stuff to keep it knocked out if its a high level

You only need bola, club, and 10 meat. Regular raw meat gives 15% or so but tskes forever. If you're on beach watch for dilos. I found a really sick blue one but he got killed by dilo.

It is way easier to use bola on these while they’re on the ground. It is much harder while they’re in the air. Just beat them with bat when they are stuck. Then use raw meat to tame. It doesn’t take much meat but it does take a long time.
