Simply bola, tranq him up, (optional) starve, use dodo kibble to get better stats and tame faster. Happy flying!

Sneak up to one walking along the beach, bola it and everything else is easy. BOOM you have a flying Mount.

When looking for a high level go to the redwood river, there are loads there.

These are great bird to get around with and should be one of the first tames you tame.

First go up the alpha Rex's mouth and then land right next to the alpha Rex it will give you kibble and you will tame millions of pteradons

A bloa will last 30 seconds so make sure to do another bola if you are still trying to use a sling shot other wisehead shot them 2 times will knock out any ptera dependig on weapon damage ( I use journeyman)

Don't disconnect while taming anything it kinda sucks

Pteranodons are a great tame for a starting player if you collect some metal do a trade. Ask in global chat does anyone have a pteranodon saddle for x amount of metal or other goods for trade. Be careful and don't get scammed.

I use mine mainly as a Warbird. I put at least a few points into stamina and a few into health if needed and the rest into melee to 500 melee and above. They gather a good amount of meat once you learn how to use them. They're super efficient and easy to tame. :)

Don't tranq it over water. Take a boat to follow it when it flys away so you don't lose it through lack of stamina to keep up.

This birds can kill anything if trained right. Pump damage and health, maybe stamina for comfort and use barrel rolls to attack. Just keep it off water and breed them right, and nothing will stop you.

These are the best flyers hands down. Tame the highest you can with best Melee and you can clear almost all the caves. I raise health, stamina and melee. My friends with args laughed at me when I beouhht my Ptera for a cave run, they stopped laughing quick and started to beg for eggs.

if you live in herb island u cam get them pretty easily but you may want to kill the low levels so u can get high ones to span on this safe heaven

Try and use a Bola before attempting to tranquilize it.

You can always make a speed or war bird, but if you don't have an argument and are desperate for weight, you can always make a work bird! If you are feeling crazy you can combine al of the types!

Good to go on little metal runs with its weight isn't amazing but lvl it up a bit and it will be really efficient

What till a double Xp and taming weekend and get more levels due to efficiency,on a 150 it would be the same as a gen2 breed bird.

Pteras are the best starting out tame i prefer to tame one soon as possible

Its very easy even low level like level 10 (if low level pteranodon) if hes low level and u dont wanna waist ur tranq arrows then... 1. Find a pteranodon

2.stay at the spot that the pteranodon is hovering above. 3. Bola him when hes on the floor. 4. (If hes low level) hit him with a club. 5. If u really wanna give him the best stuff and his favorite food then ok but raw meat will do just fine. Some name ideas: air pteranodon, pteranodon airlines, economy class (quetzal bussines class and wyvern 1st class)
