Hit it with a Tranq arrow or two. Watch where it falls. Then feed it lots of meat. And Narcotic to keep it asleep. Does take a while to tame.

I knocked mine out and gave it kibble it was all tamed up I have 50 thousand metal on him because I went on a metal run and I was flying then auto turrets from someone's base shot me out of the sky 1 like =1 prayer to hope hes in a better place this name was Johnathan I'm really sad he was level 568

Just bola it when it’s on the ground, knock it out and feed it MEAT.

I tried to feed it berries and it woke up and flew off.

Ready good to not be in danger in redwood also don't fly low in the swamp, really good for travelling at early game and mid Game I don't quite remember when you unlock the saddle but even tho it might be hard it's so worth it to get a high level, hope this helped

Hey guy who said it only took 5-8 seconds it took longer for me and I used 2 dodo kibble to te guy who said use one only use one if it’s a low lvl

If you are looking to be a a troll, pteron with pvp skill can take down any alpha

Easy tame just take a bola bola it let it starve male a box wait then let it fly and knock it out again

BOM tamed

Taming steps:

1:wait for it to land

2:shot bola on it

3:use a wooden club on its head

4:put meat in inventory

5:boom you tamed it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

TIPP:

Don't jump on them while they are knocked otherwise you will get stuck in their wings. Happened to me so much times😂

SUPER easy to tame when you have dodo kibble, I tamed a level 180 using only 8 dodo kibble.

In the newer versions of ark don't fly to close to raptors they may knock off

These are pretty self explanatory when taming, but the reason for taming is that it lets you take to the sky at a low level. Once you're airborne, you're pretty much invincible, save for argentavis encounters.

If you want to leave your tames on wadering in a pen, you don’t have to worry about ptéranodons escaping, they won’t fly away, they will just walk

Spawn on rag highlands northeast tame a horse and get narc arrows harvest whales for a saddle

GREAT TAME for early game. The second you have Tranq arrows hit them with one they will fall after a bit and then feed them a ton of raw meet and have some kind of narcotics or biotoxin on you to keep it unconscious but once it’s tamed(about 15 minutes) it makes for a good attacker. Now make sure the follow distance is low and make sure to have raw meat and biotoxin when taming but given there ability to not get eaten because they fly they make great tames early game

Dont let anything hurt your dino well your taming it or it won't gain as much levels

To the slim amount on mobile, use a soothing balm on it. It makes it so much easier

After you knock it out, starve it to about 870 food is left, then feed it about 18 or more food (probably depends on the level)it will eat the food almost instantly and it will get tamed in seconds after this.

Use a bola and beat it senseless

If you dont want to wait for their food and have an easy trap at the same time, do this: (usable at any lvl of the tame garanteed)

1. Bola and K.O. the pteranodon

2. Collect wood from surrounding trees

3. Put a wood pillar where the ptera is, then 5 thatch roofs ontop that looks like a cross

4. Put wooden railings under the roofs outlining the roofs

5. Trap is done, wake up ptera to test if he can escape (he shouldnt be able to, tested it even on inclined terrain)

6. Sleep nearby while he’s awake (brings his food to zero when you wake up)

7. Quickly K.O. Before his food is replenished, put kibble/meat

8. And done, to destroy the trap just remove the pillar (it should all go down if you destroy just the pillar)
