Taming one is fairly easy wait for it to come down then use a bola and a club or any kind of ko tools

My Pteranodon, Shan. Absolute legend. True trooper. Top dog. Killed level 139 Spino on his own. Only level 92. Killed 20 Therizinos. 5 Carnos, 19 Direbears. 31 Raptors, 2 griffins and one Argentavis including a Megalodon that poked its tail up. Can fly from East to west without landing for stamina once. Wiped out a whole crew of boas with 5 barrel rolls. Rescued my Dilophosaurs more than twice. Very useful Pteranodon.

To kill pretty much anything on these birds, tame a high level, then pump stam to 3k, then the remainder in melee. Barrel roll into alphas etc. But keep eye on Stam. Never regen Stan on ground, know your ledges!

If you steal its egg just keep hitting upward with a pike and if they’re low level they’ll die very easily. I killed about 4 at a time like this :) Up so other people see.

How to level UP pteros faster and Farm prime meat in The process tô tame more!!!

First, find some brontos and a safe high spot close tô recovery stamina.

Then, fly over The brontos neck or Head and start attacking útil he dies. Simple. Fast. Non dangerous. He wont even agro on you because he wont see you. Just remember tô keep high and watch out your stamina. 10 levels in 5 minutes! (If you kill high level brontos, maybe 15-20 levels in 5 minutes.) UP This só more people can level UP their pteros super fast!!! UP please upp

Mobile players, this one's for you.

Start off by throwing a Bola at it. If your target is lower than L30, a slingshot will work fine, otherwise use tranq arrows. Aim for the head to deal max torpor and minimal damage. Tranq users, be sure not to shoot your tame after it's unconscious. Feed it meat.

Controls:

The Ptera has 3 moves it can use, only accessible while flying.

1. Swiping up on the left side triggers a grab motion that deals no damage. You can pick up Dilos, compys, lystros and dodos this way and carry them with you. They cannot damage you while being held, but they can deal damage when you grab them.

2. Tapping on the left triggers the basic attack, a stab with the beak.

3. You will want to reconfigure your controls for this. I suggest setting Right Multi-tap to "Reload/Alt Attack 2" in the Game Controls. That said, this triggers a barrel roll that deals significant damage but also costs a lot of stamina. Use it for a burst of speed or to finish off an opponent.

This is a MUST have!! I know that u have to upgrade its stamina and weight a lot but it’s a great dinosaur to have by ur side. What I did to tame my pteranodon Sky, is bola him down then bop em in da head with tranq stopes but not to much. Then when he knocked out give him berries, raw meat, fish, and more. ⬆️ For others to see

Make sure you wait 5 seconds in between your tranq shots so you can get the maximum amount of torpor from each shot this way you don't have to waste any ammo!

Never steal eggs unless you are a pro bola thrower & you have a spear and good weapons.like it so more poeple can see

If you steal their eggs, hiding under water for a little bit under they flee works so you don't die! =] [And yes, I learned this the hard way]

Whatever you do, DON’T pick up an egg from these guys. They are surprisingly fast and vicious.

Start a dodo farm and grow rockcarrot to make kibble it takes time but is worth it completely go for high lvl as low levels aren't really worth it

To barrel roll on Xbox you push the crouch button i don’t know if it’s the same on other platforms

Guys I found out something incredibly COOL! I play mobile so this might not work on PC but I found out how to kill stuff really easily. Whenever I use my spyglass and do a barrel roll and hit the creature it does a lot of damage! I have even killed brontos, rexes, spinosaurus, and more in just one or two hits! Just practice your aiming though, cuz it’s sometimes a bit hard to aim, especially if the creature is kind of small. Plz tap the arrow pointing to the sky if this helped.

So basically just bola these guys then club them till they are unconscious. The tame takes a really long time so make sure to put some type of narcotics in its inventory. Also make sure not to nock them out in the water. When they wake up make a saddle and equip it. (Upgrades} First thing you want to upgrade on it is the weight. If it's weight is lower than your weight or the same as your weight, it will struggle to carry you. Another important upgrade for then is stamina. Stam is very important for them since they fly for so long. Anyways I hope this helped!!

Here tip how to make barrel roll on mobile

First go to controls setting and set the multi tap to alt attack 2.(I recommend the right one) Then to do it just tap the right side with 2 fingers. Ezpzlemonsquezy

This guy is an absolute unit to fight other dinos and travel, don't underestimate

Since the bird nerf, these things are not near as useful. Still, if you get one level up stam and a bit of weight. This is so you can fly across an ocean without running out of stam and dropping into a pool of jellyfish to have your butt hair zapped off.
